We invite applications for the position of Grants & Procurement Officer, Community Engagement & Partnerships in the Centre for Innovation in Learning. This is a 3-year contract post.

Responsibilities

  • Provide procurement support by coordinating and liaising with Project Innovators on procurement, admin matters and ITQ specifications according to the NIE Finance and Human Resource policies and guidelines.
  • Manage the fixed assets and inventory records for procured assets using the NIE Centralised Asset Management System (CAMS).
  • Provide general administrative support such as fund tracking to ensure accurate expenditure updates of institute-funded projects.
  • Administer procurement processes of Ariba System and General Claims System.
  • Provide administrative assistance to Community Engagement and Partnership (CEP) Manager for outreach duties such as coordinating meetings with internal NIE offices and faculty, Institutes of Higher Learning, government agencies and external stakeholders.
  • Propose innovative solutions to enhance the operational effectiveness of fund tracking and disbursements by tapping on productivity suites
Requirements
  • A Polytechnic Diploma with at least 2-3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Working knowledge of systems such as Ariba, SAP HANA, Claim Systems and asset management systems.
  • Proficient in using Google Apps, Microsoft Office Applications and Acrobat Professional software.
  • Detailed-oriented to ensure accurate fund tracking.
  • Able to work under tight timelines and follow up on work promptly.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, independent and a strong team player.
  • Prior work experience in higher education is an added advantage.
