S&P Global Commodity Insights
The Role: You are a graphic designer who focuses on data visualization and information design. You are an expert Adobe CC user and may have experience with D3 or similar code-based tools to visualize data. You are comfortable with online chart building tools such Flourish and Rawgraphs.io, and can demonstrate a healthy portfolio of visual storytelling designs.
You will collaborate with content editors to create compelling ways of presenting S&P Global Commodity Insights' wealth of data through charts, maps and infographics. It is your role to make the information easier to understand, through clarity and visual competence. You will be required to work on several projects per day. Time management and a sense of urgency are just as critical as a keen eye for design, data and software skills.
The Location: Singapore - hybrid work arrangement
Grade /Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 10
The Team: The Design and Production team is a small, dedicated group based around the globe producing thousands of graphics a year across nearly 100 different publications and channels. You will be the team's sole representative in Singapore.
The Impact: This is a key function in the Commodity Insights newsletter business forming part of the Business Operations. You participate directly in visual story telling published through a variety of delivery channels and periodical publications.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively collaborate with content editors to shape complex information into dynamic visual storytelling pieces
• Use technology, code, and online design tools to design and produce compelling data visualizations, infographics and maps (interactive and print)
• Manage multiple projects per day and prioritize various deadlines and editorial needs
• Meet all relevant delivery deadlines

What We're Looking For:
Preferred skills:

• You have used your visual design skills to create compelling data visualizations in an editorial news-driven environment
• You are an Adobe Creative Cloud expert
• You are proficient in online data visualization tools (eg, Flourish)
• You may have some familiarity with D3, Tableau, Power BI, or others

Attributes:

• You have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as data visualization, graphic design or data journalism
• You keep a clear head in a fast-moving newsroom atmosphere
• You have experience working with content management systems
• You have the self-confidence to make decisions quickly
• You seek opportunities to learn new skills and ways of visualizing content
• You are personable and able to communicate openly with a variety of people with different needs.
