What the role is:The Group Head (Communications & Engagement) of the Communicable Disease Agency (CDA) is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the international partnerships and communications strategy of CDA. As part of the Executive Leadership Team in CDA, the role is expected to set the long-term vision and direction of CDA and align the organisation\'s resources against activities and results that are critical to its long-term success. The role also needs to be able to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders and partners including taking into account differing views, securing buy-in on adopted approaches and being the front of the agency to the public. During a crisis outbreak, the role will oversee the coordination and planning across all public healthcare and related agencies, including but not restricted to clusters, higher learning institutes, and whole-of-government (WOG) in crisis communications. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.What you will be working on:Job responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Determine the communication strategies at both national and international levels. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop strategic alliances with whole-of-government, national and international public health stakeholders to drive CDA\'s key messages and strategic agenda. \xe2\x80\xa2 Managing departments across diverse disciplines, maintaining awareness on policies and processes across all corporate support functions within the organisation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Managing multiple external stakeholders\' relationship and expectations through building up and maintaining good working relationship and communication channels with external stakeholders (for e.g. MOH, NHG clusters, the media, public, etc.). \xe2\x80\xa2 Staying abreast of technical and global trends and navigating the geopolitical landscapes, ensuring alignment with international regulations and protocols, particularly during crisis situations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensuring proper communication before, during, and after public health crisis, issues, or outbreak through timely and effective communication messages developed for stakeholders, including the public, internal stakeholders, policymakers, and the media. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensuring accurate information is communicated in a timely manner to manage public perception and response. \xe2\x80\xa2 Negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to seek necessary approval and buy-in by providing strong and clear justifications for proposed changes; ensure close collaboration across divisions and functions across the group and external contractors to monitor work progress and performance. \xe2\x80\xa2 Build effective working relations with other key institutions across the whole-of-Government to ensure goals of the organisation are metWhat we are looking for:Job Requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Degree in a corporate, managerial or operational field, e.g. business administration, public policy, arts administration, economics. \xe2\x80\xa2 12 to 15 years of experience in the public sector, non-profit sector or private sector, with at least six years of experience working in a corporate, managerial, partnerships or communications role with practical experiences managing multiple and large teams \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience providing enterprise wide leadership as part of the Top Executive Leadership Team \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in a healthcare organisation would be a plus \xe2\x80\xa2 Have competency and confidence in working with Board members and Senior Management \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess strong sense of responsibility, positive working attitude and initiative. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to multi-task, a proactive and team player with good inter-personal skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good organising skills, thorough, meticulous, organised and resourceful. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines as well as result oriented. \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess good written and communication skillsAbout Ministry of Health:The Ministry of Health\'s (MOH) vision is to champion a healthy nation with our people - to live well, live long and with peace of mind.
