The Role Responsibilities

  • Define payments strategy for consumer, private and business banking
  • Develop market leading payments products across remittances, mobile wallets and emerging payment channels and ensure effective deployment across the SCB network.
  • Lead new product development, enhancement of existing features and product management for payments in line with the overall group consumer, private and business banking strategy.
  • Lead business requirements for system development & implementation
  • Lead payment standardization for retail payments globally
  • Monetize capabilities and develop analytics to track performance
Our Ideal Candidate
Responsible for global consumer payments and debit cards:
  • 12 + years of experience in Banking , product management i.e digital payments .
  • Refresh strategy in line with the market developments and create a positioning for SCB to increase client wallet share using payments as a key enabler across client segments
  • Develop competitive P2P domestic capabilities and drive usage of the faster payments ecosystem
  • Develop world class international remittance solutions that can compete against traditional and Neo-banks/fintechs and solve needs for affluent & International clients on pricing and experience
  • Own and manage the Debit card product including product management, deal management with schemes and driving capabilities like Digital debit experience with controls & budget management
  • Build strong e-commerce capabilities to improve auth rates and reduce friction on experience
  • Work on expanding new form factors of payments like contactless, QR payments across markets
  • Product co-development with key wallet players - Visa, Mastercard, China Union Pay...etc
  • Interaction and proposition co-development with key OEM wallet players - Samsung, Apple, Google etc
  • Wallet connectivity with large local wallets as part of CVP offering
  • Interaction and proposition co-development with key social payments players.
  • Work with countries to understand the new developments in the market including regulatory changes and continuously review the global product standard to ensure that new developments, changes including best practices are embedded into the global product standard and made available to all relevant countries globally. Thus ensure we understand, explore & build once and implement globally.
  • Define system requirements for new products/features/CVPs and work with ITO to ensure that the same is built once as a standard and implemented globally.
  • Work with external stakeholders to create the right outcome for SCB
  • Ensure effective rollout of capabilities across markets by working with geographic multifunctional teams
