CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST GROUP LEADER (CIS GROUP LEADER)
Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Site Lean Manager, the incumbent will define the resource and budget needs for the process improvement events, establishing timelines with contingency plans, risk assessments, and overall management of the cross functional project teams. Ensure the implementation of Lean strategies and initiatives, monitor milestones to make sure program deliverables are implemented to plan and prescribed budget, and effectively meet or exceed business requirements. Facilitate team meetings and regular management team debriefs along with associated logistics (meeting invites, calendars, agenda in collaboration with key stakeholders, minutes/documentations). Regularly review Lean performance expectations with leadership teams across the organization, providing expectations, performance planning, feedback, training development, and performance discussions.
Facilitate end-to-end VSMs and continuous process improvement events in accordance with Lean thinking throughout the organization ensuring cross-functional participation and adherence.
Mentor, coach, and train various levels of the organization on Lean Six Sigma Projects/Events and/or appropriate process improvement and problem-solving tools and methodologies of his/her influence.
Perform administrative duties commensurate with the requirements of the organization including data gathering, metrics, reports, and newsletters.
The successful applicant is expected to understand the business objectives, follow standard work instructions, find and fix problems, continuously seek improvements on various processes and standards; and utilize a wide variety of manufacturing tools (i.e., 5S, Lean concept, Visual management, 6 sigma, and other improvement tools applicable).
This role will require someone who has a great focus on quality and can demonstrate a Zero-Defect Mindset where he/she will commit to doing things right the first time, every time; creating a work environment where nearly right and good enough are not acceptable.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Education & Experience:
College graduate in Industrial Engineering or any equivalent course
Five years experience in Lean Six Sigma, Process Improvement, or Project management and at least 3 years managerial position, with evidence of at least two Black Belt level projects and/or Value Stream level kaizen event storylines
Certifications:
With Six Sigma Black Belt Certification; Lean Leadership Behavior Trainings (LLB1, LLB2, LLB3) & Supervisory Training
