:My client is a leading global real asset manager with a strong presence in Asia, managing more than S$120 billion in assets. Their diversified portfolio spans retail, office, lodging, industrial, logistics, and emerging asset classes such as wellness and data centers.
The Vice President, Group Strategy and Research will report to the Group Chief Strategy Officer & CEO, Commercial Management (China and Southeast Asia). This strategic leadership role will drive the companyxe2x80x99s global direction, spearhead market research, and lead a high-performing team of 4.Key Responsibilities:Strategy:

• Develop and oversee strategic initiatives and partnerships that align with the companyxe2x80x99s transformation into a global leader in real asset management.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and country heads to define strategic priorities and ensure alignment across all business units.
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement the global strategic plan, ensuring smooth execution and collaboration.
• Manage the internal approval process for new projects, including preparing business cases, assessing risks, and obtaining stakeholder buy-in.
• Present strategic recommendations and updates to senior leadership and the Board of Directors, including the Board Strategy and Sustainability Committee.
• Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities or challenges that could influence the companyxe2x80x99s strategic direction.
• Enhance the companyxe2x80x99s reputation as a preferred global asset manager and thought leader in private equity funds and alternative assets.
• Lead and mentor the Group Strategy and Research team to drive effectiveness and professional growth.

Research:

• Formulate and execute a research strategy to support investment decisions and provide market insights for private equity and alternative assets.
• Conduct research on private equity funds, capital markets, and alternative asset classes such as private credit, digital infrastructure, self-storage, wellness, and healthcare-related opportunities.
• Provide regular research reports and analyses to senior management and investment teams to guide decision-making and develop strategic plans.
• Enhance research tools and methodologies to evaluate global and regional macroeconomic trends and develop market insights for traditional and emerging asset classes.
• Collaborate with investment and fundraising teams to incorporate research insights into presentations and materials, ensuring alignment with investment strategies.
• Publish research papers on key market trends and company house views for external audiences.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, external consultants, brokers, and research organizations to stay ahead of industry advancements.

Requirements:

• At least 12 years of relevant experience in strategy, research roles in private equity, real estate, or alternative assets.
• Strong track record in driving innovation, growth, and sustainable business outcomes.
• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree required; masterxe2x80x99s or CFA preferred.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with financial and market expertise.
