GroupM | Senior Ad Operations ManagerDescriptionAbout the roleEssencemediacom is seeking a Senior Ad Technology Manager to become an integral part of our Data & Tech team. Our team is responsible for the design of ad tech solution architecture and support integration, testing and implementation for all platforms that enable data strategies. We provide consultancy to our clients and colleagues and are at the center of all things tech within the agency. Our team is structured to provide a tailored approach that is both flexible and adaptable to align to our clients needs.In this job, you\'ll be accountable for managing and supporting the Ad Technology team, leading and developing future proof workflows, processes and strategy to maximize the performance of digital campaigns through ad measurement and tracking solutions. You\'ll also be designing specialized ad tech solutions across our portfolio of clients, using your knowledge of ad serving systems, ad tech tools and other new and emerging technologies, to direct and advise stakeholders on the best course of action to obtain the best solution. You will also be working closely with other technology and data strategists, to ensure accurate measurement and tracking across clients\' campaigns .Some of the things we\'d like you to do:

  • Develop a tagging strategy leveraging tag management solutions, omni-channel measurement solutions, web, and app analytics tools
  • Support team leadership on the continual assessment of the ad technology landscape, and lead in the testing of different products - including ad delivery, ad verification, and measurement by providing guidance on how to continually improve operational processes, supporting systems and communication channels where needed.
  • Support in both a consultative and executional role, devising solutions for the client by identifying and configuring the technology, data and processes that improve insight generation, media targeting, and deeper analytical learning. This can encompass audits of a client\'s current setup, as well as leading data and tech partner evaluations
  • Serves as a key escalation point or project lead (if required) for both internal and external stakeholder for clients and campaigns matters relating to Ad Technology
  • Constantly seek new opportunities to drive added value through efficiency for clients while protecting their investment.
  • Execute class-leading campaign tracking implementation strategies through Tag Management Systems and create bespoke tracking code for complex mapping when necessary.
  • Demonstrates out-of-the-box innovative thinking that can be pivoted into new best practices
  • Contributes to and/or develops POVs/case studies on Data & Tech topics that benefits clients, Essencemediacom and/or discipline
  • Manage and develop team members, including their successful induction into the team, the continual assessment of their needs, the delivery of training, and development of their Advertising Technology career.
  • Support the recruitment of Advertising Technology resources; help manage and motivate the team on a day-to-day basis; ensuring appropriate resource allocation across clients, efficient workflow and flawless output
  • Serve as a strategic partner for interdepartmental questions; attend internal meetings providing updates or consultation as needed.
  • Present in internal team meetings and participate in client meetings.
  • Project manage and drive ownership of internal initiatives.
  • Support client deliverables and projects on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Act as an ambassador of ad operations across the agency. Train new starters and continually educate teams on recent developments; building advocacy across the agency
A bit about yourself:
  • 5+ years\' experience in ad technology & operations
  • A strong work ethic; able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and deliver results
  • Well-developed organizational and project management skills, to ensure you can keep on top of your own and others workloads
  • Fine-tuned communication, presentation and influencing skills; with an ability to think creatively and present in a manner that inspires and excites
  • Computer literate with superior knowledge of Excel and a strong interest in internet technologies and media
  • Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, JavaScript or PHP.
  • Diligent with a strong attention to detail and able to deliver projects effectively and efficiently.
  • You need to have a solution-based & active mindset, with ability to translate ideas to actions and answer business problems.
  • Ability to prioritize a complex mix of work and manage time effectively
  • Have an active interest in everything digital and advocate spotting and voicing new trends in the digital advertising industry.
  • Thorough and investigative with the ability to identify \'sales speak\' vs real benefits of a technology
  • Able to develop relationships and motivate suppliers and internal team members
  • Desire to learn and be part of a dynamic growing team
  • A GMP expert with knowledge of linking accounts between SA360, GA360, CM360, and GA360. Big Query functional knowledge is a plus.
  • Great knowledge of the privacy landscape changes to browsers (ITP, ETP, Chrome Privacy Sandbox), app updates (SKAN or Android Privacy Sandbox), attribution without IDs and how the industry adapts.
  • Experience of working with CM360, Sizmek, AdForm and other 3rd party ad servers
  • Great knowledge of data management platform types (e.g. Site Analytics, MMP, DMP, CDP), core functionality and how to deploy to extract value for clients
  • Great knowledge of cloud-based platforms/infrastructure (e.g. GCP, BQ, AWS, data clean rooms) and the role they play in facilitating Data & Tech services
  • Good familiarity with and ability to use data visualization/BI platforms (e.g. Data Studio) to create basic, no/low-code data visualizations/dashboards
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, SQL, Python, and SDKs a plus
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
