Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in the complete product development lifecycle \xe2\x80\x93 starting from MVPs to Engineering Prototypes, Manufacturing Prototype builds, Pilot run and series Production, following key milestones / gates during the process
  • Full ownership of Electronics Design (E/E Architecture / Schematic & PCB design) (considering the following aspects)
  • Functional Analysis & Requirements Gathering -
leading to a Hardware Specification * Product Design (E/E architecture/component selection with close attention to manufacturability)
  • Schematic Drafting & PCB layout (in-house or external)
  • Apply principles of design-to-cost PCB design to ensure environmental (temperature / humidity / moisture) & EMI / EMC compliance
  • Design reliable & cost-effective RF interfaces (understanding of WiFi / Bluetooth / LoRa / LTE / 5G interfaces/SATCOM)
  • Propose & design the hardware buses (USB / Serial: I2C, SPI, CAN)
  • Power circuit design for battery operated devices
  • Work closely with the technical architect & test team to frame specification for hardware testing strategy
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to meet the product requirements of dimensions & weight
  • Collaborate with Industrial Engineers to meet the manufacturability requirements (Design For Manufacturing or DFM)
  • Liaise with the test team in carrying out root cause analysis to manage quality issues
Requirements:
  • Direct project experience in Electronics PCB development with a core reliability requirement (Avionics/Automotive/Consumer Electronics) \xe2\x80\x93 essential to have the working experience from design to production
  • Good knowledge of the principles of fault tolerance, reliability and durability.
  • Hands-on experience with Electronics Design CAD tools / Simulation Software & Testing / Development equipment (oscilloscopes / spectrum analyser etc.)
  • Experience with analog, digital, high speed, impedance control design & layout
  • Experience with high volume mass production
  • Hands-on experience with GNSS product is a plus
  • Experience in UAVs / Drone operations would be a plus

  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm
