J&J MedTech APAC, one of the region\'s leading healthcare companies, is recruiting for a Head of Executive Communications and Employee Engagement to position the company, its Company Group Chairman and key leaders within the business. This critical role will be responsible for creating high-impact opportunities to tell the J&J MedTech APAC story, defining the narrative, positioning executives in appropriate communication channels and partnering with colleagues throughout the world to help drive creative ideas and execute game-changing communications campaigns, to effectively engage our internal and external stakeholders.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the APAC MedTech narrative and communications platform:

\xc2\xa7 Drive the J&J MedTech narrative that expresses our critical contribution to individual health, solving major illness, improving health care systems and increasing economic vitality

\xc2\xa7 Establish strategic annual plan for MedTech leaders, identifying and targeting key communications platforms to build and enhance reputation

\xc2\xa7 Define core platforms for CGC and key leaders in the markets to "own" and be ruthless in prioritizing these topics and opportunities over others

\xc2\xa7 Understand and align business, enterprise and functional priorities to address and respond to business needs with regards to the leaders\' communication platforms and the Company\'s overarching executive leadership strategy

\xc2\xa7 Lead end-to-end campaigns about our leadership\'s presence, community engagement and key business drivers, leveraging events, paid media, earned media and social media platforms

\xc2\xa7 Design and lead highly impactful and effectively executive employee communications activities at the regional level to best engage our employees at all levels by creating compelling stories on innovative communication channels

\xc2\xa7 Prepare the CGC (and other key leadership team members) for all venues, helping to bring to life key messages and leadership platform objectives

\xc2\xa7 Bring expertise in influencing a regional team that works across countries to deliver aligned and coordinated messages

\xc2\xa7 Work with business, policy stakeholders and industry associations to support communications in the development of public health, policy and regulatory frameworks - with an emphasis on our partnership with the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed)

\xc2\xa7 Proactively address issues and crisis management with cross sector, market and global teams

Ensure an integrated approach to executive leadership across the company:

\xc2\xa7 Partner across communications teams to ensure executive leadership platforms complement each other and drive enhanced connectivity between our thought leadership platforms

\xc2\xa7 Build \'bench strength\' within MedTech APAC leadership to be able to represent the company - via presentation, storytelling and media engagement coaching

\xc2\xa7 Identify external opportunities for the CGC and other leadership team members to represent J&J MedTech as an industry leader on critical issues and topics

\xc2\xa7 Leverage the CGC\'s strategic platforms and the right digital and live platforms to reach J&J MedTech APAC\'s stakeholder groups

\xc2\xa7 Serve as an integral member of the team, supporting industry and trade association activations including message development, media coordination, digital content and event planning

\xc2\xa7 Forge and maintain a network of partnerships across business-based teams, Global Corporate Affairs and other internal stakeholders, that ensures the CGC\'s preparedness and proactive approaches to global issues

\xc2\xa7 Ensure all employee communications initiatives are well designed to serve the purpose and voices of the executives are highly cohesive across the regional and key markets

Review, advise and execute creative social media activations and content creation on behalf of CGC\'s social profiles:

\xc2\xa7 Drive development of creative, connected and disruptive social media content for the CGC, in line with global policy and guidelines

\xc2\xa7 Ensure consistent messaging, focusing on approved core topics to position the CGC

\xc2\xa7 Guide the CGC on when and how to participate in influential social media activations linked to core topics

\xc2\xa7 Consider paid and earned opportunities to unify messaging and positioning

\xc2\xa7 Maintain strong understanding of current industry, thought leadership, social media, and health policy trends affecting the MedTech APAC reputation, franchises and brands

Be a curious, creative, globally minded and culturally relevant leader:

\xc2\xa7 Be able to advise our leaders on opportunities and issues that arise and work with the global team to identify opportunities and protect our reputation reactively

\xc2\xa7 Have global and regional experience and be able to work with key stakeholders on key positioning opportunities

\xc2\xa7 Be comfortable with ambiguity and create opportunities while bringing along a matrixed team Education:

\xc2\xa7 Minimum: Bachelor\'s degree

Experience and Skills:

\xc2\xa7 Minimum 10 years senior-level experience in communication with a focus on reputation-building work

\xc2\xa7 Successful leadership a regional/global function

\xc2\xa7 Successful in connecting and naviagting in a matrixed environment

\xc2\xa7 Demonstrated ability to produce excellent results in a high pressure, high visibility role

\xc2\xa7 Exceptional writing ability and proven expertise in executive communication, including speechwriting and presentation development is required

\xc2\xa7 Deep understanding of major trends, challenges and opportunities in the external environment, including the health care industry, government policy, technology and data transformation, human demographics and behavior and geopolitical influences

\xc2\xa7 Self-directed with proven project management skills, excellent judgment and demonstrated ability to lead in ambiguity and bring people together to solve complex problems

\xc2\xa7 Demonstrated ability to lead in a complex crisis or issues

\xc2\xa7 Expertise in obtaining, analyzing and synthesizing information - demonstrating exceptional reasoning and critical thinking

\xc2\xa7 Ability to engage, influence and lead with all levels of leadership

\xc2\xa7 Strong desire to be an effective and supportive team member and to contribute proactively to group success

\xc2\xa7 Political campaign or key social media leadership experience is valuable

\xc2\xa7 Journalism experience of high profile global or regional media outlets is a bonus

\xc2\xa7 Experience in a highly regulated environment is valuable

Other:

\xc2\xa7 There is the future potential of some business travel within Asia Pacific or some limited global travel
