  • Oversee the full scope of facilities operations, management, and services as the Head of Facilities Management and Services-leading teams to ensure the campus buildings are operated and maintained at the highest standards, aligning with our client's vision.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor all facility management and engineering services across the entire campus, including student and faculty housing, as well as future developments.
  • Strategize and review aging infrastructure, building services, and preventive maintenance schedules while initiating asset enhancement projects to support long-term sustainable campus operations through data-driven decision-making.
  • Manage consultants, specialist vendors, and contractors by implementing a performance management system to ensure high efficiency, quality service delivery, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Lead the team in reviewing and updating energy management procedures and policies, ensuring effective control of energy consumption across campus operations.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and innovative energy conservation solutions, providing regular performance reports and implementing measures to enhance energy efficiency and meet sustainability targets.
  • Ensure the reliable operation of mission-critical data centers and spearhead improvement projects to maintain and upgrade existing facilities, while also benchmarking best practices for new data center developments.
  • Maintain operational standards to uphold the highest Green Mark certification for all campus buildings, including student residences, and ensure timely renewals to retain accreditation.
  • Drive energy reduction initiatives with the goal of achieving Super Low Energy (SLE) standards across all buildings.
  • Collaborate with various agencies to support their initiatives and explore opportunities for innovation and sustainability partnerships.
  • Engage with industry stakeholders to secure recognition through awards that highlight sustainability achievements, aligning with national sustainability goals. Continuously explore and assess innovative technologies, operational methods, and systems for potential implementation.
  • Regularly host visits from local and international universities and industry representatives to share best practices and reinforce our client's reputation in sustainability and facilities management.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for campus development, space management, and renovation projects to ensure the implementation of efficient, innovative, and sustainable solutions.
  • Lead the team in developing and executing smart energy solutions to achieve the highest sustainability standards in future developments.
  • Assess and verify design proposals submitted by consultants and contractors, ensuring that building services meet top-tier performance standards, align with long-term operational objectives, and comply with sustainability requirements while staying within approved budgets.
  • Plan and manage budgets effectively to ensure high-quality execution of projects within the allocated time and resources.
  • Review operational strategies, guidelines, and policies to drive continuous improvement and ensure proper implementation.
  • Foster team development by enhancing technical expertise and skills, collaborating closely with peers across departments to provide excellent service to all stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in building services, operation and maintenance and implementation of projects.
  • Good knowledge of the local statutory codes and regulations.
  • Technical soundness on all mechanical and electrical systems and building services.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • A result committed and customer orientated person.
  • A team player congenial personality, resourceful and analytical character. Independent, innovative and good negotiation skills.
  • A keen sense of ownership and integrity.
  • Good communications (both written and spoken) and interpersonal skills.
