Head of Audit APAC MEA, GAudit1.3Group Audit (GAudit) is an independent governance function, supporting the Audit Committee and Board of Management of MR AG in executing its tasks and strategic initiatives (\xe2\x80\x9cAmbition 2025\xe2\x80\x9d). By means of our key products \xe2\x80\x9cStandard Audit\xe2\x80\x9d, \xe2\x80\x9cSprint Audit\xe2\x80\x9d, and \xe2\x80\x9cAdvisory Reports\xe2\x80\x9d we provide \xe2\x80\x9cimpactful, agile and collaborative auditing services\xe2\x80\x9d to our clients around the globe.Reporting to the Group Head of Audit, and based in Singapore, you will be a member of the Global Leadership Team (GLT) of MR GAudit. In this capacity, you will be in charge of all audit-related activities within the APAC MEA region.Key Role:

  • Developing, together with colleagues of respective local audit functions as well as key stakeholders of GAudit a comprehensive, risk-based and impactful 6-months rolling audit plan.
  • Providing impactful auditing services to our clients within the APAC MEA region with a focus on
  • the core value chain of Reinsurance business (CM, UW, Claims, FinMoRe, etc.) for all business units (P&C and LH)
  • Group Topic Audits (globally; resp. topics will be audited within RI Group and/or ERGO Group by numerous audit teams on the basis of a comprehensive audit work program)
  • Play an active role in our follow-up process to ensure all measures agreed are implemented in a timely and efficient manner, including mediation and escalation of delayed or not implemented measures to respective management levels (Board members, ML1s).
  • Issuing audit or advisory reports of high quality that are crispy, clear and focused.
  • As a member of the GLT, contributing proactively to the initiatives and strategy of the One Audit Community (OAC) within MR Group.
Your Profile:
  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Studies, Law or similar discipline
  • Long-standing professional experience in the (re)insurance industry in a front-line, operational role
  • Knowledge of the APAC MEA (re)insurance market and regulations would be advantageous
  • Excellent negotiation and skills, especially in dialogue with affected auditees and top management (Board members, ML1/2)
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally in an international environment
  • High degree of integrity and commitment to the values of Munich Re
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to deal with complex issues
  • Very good command of oral and written English is required, and a major Asian language would be an advantage.
  • Willingness to work in Singapore and travel up to 20%.
