Rakkar Digital is a startup company backed by SCB 10X focusing in digital asset and blockchain space. We provide digital asset custody and related services to our clients across ASEAN. We are on a mission to enable our clients to securely store and easily access digital assets and cryptocurrencies. The team is growing fast. We are looking for strong talents to join us in multiple countries across the region. We’re looking for a Head of Compliance with a strong cybersecurity background and hands-on experience with Singapore’s Payment Services Act, working with MAS and regional regulators. The successful candidate will build the security team, framework and procedures of the company. They will work with the leadership team to make sure the best, global practices are implemented and followed accordingly. This role reports directly to the CEO and sits in our Singapore office. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead our Global compliance team and be tasked with the construction and maintenance of a world-class compliance function for a fast-growing financial services company.

• Understand and maintain continuing knowledge of all local compliance requirements to ensure that Rakkar Digital’s compliance programme, product, and services are implemented and maintained consistent with all applicable local laws, regulations and rules.

• Manage and maintain relationship with MAS.

• Manage APAC regulatory engagement strategy as well as handle regulatory inquiry in relation to the Payment Service Act license and ongoing conduct of business requirements, as well as comply and keep up to date with all relevant MAS notices.

• Respond to any issues including but not limited to items raised in audit reports, self-assessments, compliance reviews, and/or regulatory inquiries.

• Perform anti-money laundering and other applicable law training to relevant staff in accordance with company policy and relevant global regulatory requirements particularly Singapore.

• Effectively communicate across stakeholders, including regularly advising and reporting to Rakkar Digital’s senior management.

• Manage the relationship with external legal firms and outsourcing of compliance tasks Partner directly with relevant business and legal teams to drive regional growth in a compliant way.

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Auditing or related field.

• Fluent in English

• Minimum of 8 years’ work experience in a financial services-related compliance role with increasing responsibilities.

• Understanding of global regulatory landscape, particularly in Singapore

• Strong ethic and integrity

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Experience in Blockchain and Cryptocurrency is a must
