If so, the opportunity as Head of Corporate Affairs \xe2\x80\x93 Southeast Asia and Taiwan (SEAT) is for you.Reporting to the SEAT Business Unit General Manager, the role will be based in Singapore.As the market leading over-the-counter healthcare company in South East Asia & Taiwan, this is the second biggest Business Unit in APAC. The SEAT Business Unit covers 11 countries, 3 manufacturing sites and a global services hub. As the APAC hub is also based in the region then it will also support some APAC specific Corporate Affairs responsibilities.In this role YOU will lead on government and public affairs and communications work and support the leaders and the organisation with external engagement and internal engagement as appropriate. YOU will lead a small team of reports, leverage external agencies as needed and work seamlessly with the BU LT, across the BU and with the global Corporate Affairs teams to deliver on your priorities. YOUR objective will be to deliver value to the business by building and protecting its reputation, helping the business capitalise on opportunities created by the external environment and supporting leaders in turning strategy into action by delivering corporate affairs plans.In this role YOU will\xe2\x80\xa6

  • Develop and execute a corporate affairs plan that supports the strategy, objectives, and priorities of the Business Unit.
  • Develop and execute advocacy campaigns to support business objectives and optimise opportunities in the external environment, in particular to build networks of key external stakeholders (media, policy makers, industry groups, patient advocacy groups, NGOs) with a view to shaping and supporting relevant public policy agendas.
  • Monitor relevant policies and regulations, identify risks and opportunities for SEAT and national level advocacy on priority topics; deliver analysis and policy insight to the business.
  • Create and execute integrated communication campaigns to build the reputation of the business and the corporate brand, become employer of choice, drive value of self-care and health literacy agenda and position the company as responsible business among external stakeholders
  • Lead a small team of Corporate Affairs Managers in other markets, responsible for managing performance and developing individuals to unleash their potential
  • Partner with Business Unit teams to educate consumers, media and policy makers on key topics and drive condition awareness ultimately to positively position our brands and our categories.
  • Develop and implement engaging communications initiatives to inform and inspire employees (including site employees) to become effective ambassadors for the company and be clear on the business strategy and priorities.
  • Act as Corporate Affairs advisor to key change initiatives and external strategic communications for the BU (and the sites), advising the BU GM, BU LT on Comms strategy and lead/advise on Comms for major change projects
  • Represent (or identify and prepare colleagues to represent) the company at industry trade associations and build the trade association strategy for the Business Unit
  • Build the capabilities of local leaders in effective government and stakeholder engagement, media work and internal employee engagement, as well as policy issues and management of political audiences, and effective participation at industry trade associations
Why you?Basic Qualifications:We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Government and Public Affairs, Public Relations, Communications, Political Science or related.
  • 10+ years of working experience in a senior position in Corporate Affairs in the Healthcare or FMCG industry or other relevant organisations or agencies.
  • Line management experience, managing remotely desirable
  • Strong track record of developing and executing communications and public affairs campaigns
  • Proven ability to develop trust-based relationships with senior external stakeholders such as professional bodies, national governments and advocacy groups
  • Strong stakeholder management and excellent people leadership skills, ability to influence effectively
  • Good understanding of external environment, as well as political, social and economic issues and trends which may impact us
  • Strategic thinking and ability to execute brilliantly
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of sustainability preferred
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial operations
  • Proven track record to deliver across multiple and changing work priorities at pace
  • High personal accountability and integrity
