Job Description


Business Function

Credit Risk Monitoring & Reporting under Risk Management Group ("RMG") - Singapore ("SG") Consumer Banking Group ("CBG") Credit is responsible for undertaking risk monitoring and reporting (regulatory and non-regulatory) for entire SG CBG Credit Portfolio.

The team also manages all consumer credit bureau related activities including compliance to regulations, bureau reporting, managing customer disputes, contract management, industrial discussions, system enhancements impacting bureau reporting etc. In addition, there are various data related initiatives and enhancements to improve employees\' journeys and support digitalisation and automation of portfolio monitoring and reporting processes.

The team is required to collaborate closely with other teams under SG CBG Credit, Regional CBG Credit, Enterprise Data Architecture, SG CBG Business, Technology, and Compliance teams in ensuring pro-active and pre-emptive portfolio monitoring and reporting deliverables to support a sustainable risk-reward balanced business.

Responsibilities

The role is responsible to lead Credit Risk Monitoring & Reporting team in SG CBG Credit to:

  • Drive credit digitalisation, automation and dashboarding projects and initiatives including identifying opportunities/ gaps to transform and improve data quality, data lineage and existing monitoring/reporting data architecture.
  • Embrace Horizontal Organisation ("HO") mindset and collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Business, Technology, Compliance, Credit Bureau Singapore (CBS) etc) to ensure that risk monitoring reports, systems and processes are enhanced and run efficiently and effectively, without compromise to risk and controls (including regulatory requirements).
  • Lead pro-active and pre-emptive portfolio performance monitoring to manage emerging risks due to macro-economic and regulatory changes for consumer lending loans.
  • Undertake forward-looking risk identification and management across different risk types across the consumer credit lifecycle from Acquisition, Portfolio Management (Existing Customer Management) to Collection/Recovery Management.
  • Ensure that credit bureau reporting is in-compliance with regulations and guidelines and to ensure all credit disputes received are responded to within the required Service Level Agreement ("SLA") and are tracked, resolved on timely basis.
Requirements
  • Minimum 12 years\' working experience in consumer credit risk management
  • Transformational and strategic thinking mindset with ability to challenge, innovate and improve the way we work
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with proven ability to manage conflict/complex situations (including making tough decisions)
  • Excellent communicator with strong influencing skills to collaborate widely with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Meticulous and logical in thought process
  • Strong domain knowledge of consumer credit systems and processes
