The Data Analytics Group Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for all products as well as designing and implementing both the tactical and strategic data.
• Serves as the subject matter expert for strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications, as well as make strategic recommendations and develop data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis.
• Defines the service model for each new incubated data product or data product set across the various businesses and regions.
• Prepares and presents key business cases underpinning strategic investment initiatives to maintain or build out the product capability.
• Participates in strategic business engagements to build the right level of data inclusion into all business forums below the top exec level.
• Plans and manages on-going product investment and activity in-line with defined portfolio balance, capacity and capability planning and development.
• Builds a product improvement & innovation pipeline for prioritization and build an initial view of the underlying commercial value and potential.
• Ensures current product landscape and architecture is mapped out, and deeply understood from a product origination point through fulfillment, processing, billing, servicing and revenue realization and reporting.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years experience in working with various data teams
• Detailed understanding of latest data technologies and solutions towards how they can help solve for next generation business needs.
• Use of tools such for statistical modeling of large data sets

Education:

• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree

Reporting directly to the Head of Platform Engineering - Data & Analytics, this role will affect incremental business outcomes across all key lines of business / functions with a focus on Wealth.

The role holder will define and execute relevant roadmaps across all customer decision platforms, ensuring key stakeholders are engaged and consulted, and roadmaps are aligned to business priorities to drive revenue outcomes.

In particular, the role holder will partner closely with Technology to standardize data platforms, simplify architecture, and deliver the platform roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the transformation of sales and service from product-centric to customer-centric

Build partnerships with teams, spanning regional Product, Segment, Sales & Distribution and country teams to develop, align and drive delivery

Assess implementation options and build sponsorship for investment and transformation

Build sponsorship for transformation and investment, ensuring a robust business case is presented spanning capabilities, risk, and cost

Work closely with Technology to develop and deliver new platforms

Ensure effective integration with data, models, and messaging platforms to achieve agile delivery of new use cases

Act as gatekeeper with respect to change on data and customer communication platforms, ensuring changes are in line with platform vision

Partner with Technology to review proposed enhancements to existing data platforms to ensure solutions are robust, well designed and in line with platform vision

Continuously improve strategy, talent, processes, and tools to deliver world-class capability

Ensure all risks and issues with respect to data platforms are identified and corrective actions defined and delivered in a timely manner

Ensure compliance with Citi policies and standards for all data platforms under your purview (including but not limited to information security, entitlements, COB, records management, etc.)

Work closely with the Production Support team in the event of an incident, ensuring incidents are addressed in a timely manner and root cause identified and addressed via corrective action plan where appropriate
