Responsibilities:

As the Head of Engineering at PropertyGuru, you will be a key leader responsible for overseeing and guiding the engineering teams across our marketplaces in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products and services, ensuring they remain at the forefront of the real estate technology landscape.

In particular, you will lead the Consumer teams. These are the teams responsible for crafting the websites & mobile apps our property seekers experience through their journey of finding the house of their dreams. These are motivated teams looking to work with a passionate leader, that together can build great products and solve real problems. Helping the teams focusing on what matters, identifying bottlenecks in their processes and guide them in their career path will be fundamental for the success, all the while, partnering with your Product and Design teams to strongly collaborate and represent the interests of our Tech department, so we can always raise the bar in our SDLC.

Finally, working along with your peers in our Platform Team, Infra & Security Team and Data Team, you will help define the technical direction & innovation vectors of our Marketplaces Platform.

Tech Stack: Nodejs API, NextJS webapps, ReactNative Mobile Apps, deployed in AWS EKS clusters.

• Leadership: Provide strong leadership to engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

• Strategy: Develop and execute engineering strategies aligned with the company\'s overall goals, ensuring market leadership and technological advancement.

• Team Management: Manage, mentor, and inspire engineering managers and teams to achieve their full potential and deliver high-quality results.

• Product Development: Drive the development of cutting-edge digital real estate products and features to enhance user experience and competitiveness.

• Technical Excellence: Maintain a deep understanding of emerging technologies and industry best practices, ensuring the application of these insights in engineering processes.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as Product Management, Design, and Data Science, to ensure seamless product delivery.

• Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce rigorous quality assurance and testing processes to maintain high product standards.

• Resource Management: Efficiently allocate engineering resources, budget, and timelines for successful project execution.

Requirements:

• Proven track record of leadership in a technology-driven organization.

• 5 to 7 years of experience managing teams

• Experience in managing engineering teams across multiple locations or countries.

• Strong understanding of the real estate and Proptech industry is a plus.

• Exceptional leadership and people management skills.

• Strategic thinking and the ability to execute complex engineering projects.

• Deep technical expertise and knowledge of software development methodologies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality.
