Job Description

Our CLIENT is seeking a Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Governance to lead the HSEG department and HSEG work, including the overall management of the integrated management system and related tools.

The Head of HSEG is responsible for setting up, maintaining and further developing the Health, Safety, Environment and Governance related aspects, including compliance and quality, in the Company integrated management system and to lead the HSEG department. Managing the HSEG leads for the different areas of responsibility within the HSEG department and to ensure they have the right support to fulfil their responsibilities.

The Head of HSEG is a global function but sits in the Operations team and reports to Deputy COO.

Job Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for maintaining documentation related to HSEG
• Document Non-conformity reports and the operation of the NCR system
• Continuously update legal changes related to HSEG
• Participate in Crisis Management
• Participate in development of HSEG training programs
• Manage HSEG issues during tender processes
• Manage HSEG issues during project and reporting processes
• Manage HSEG during manufacturing processes
• Set up, maintain and develop the Company integrated management system

• HSEG professional that has experience in working with management systems and HSEG related tasks that are in possession of relevant higher education (MSc) and 10 years of experience within the HSEQ / G field.
• Strong management skills - experience of managing a team, including storing leadership skills.
• Experience from marine, offshore or energy sectors
• Experience and qualification in internal and external auditing
• Experience and qualification of incident investigations
• Experience and qualification in compliance, including legal requirements, standards and internal demands. ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 auditing certifications preferred.
• Holder of HSEG/Q related qualification such as NQF Level 6 or above based on UK safety standards (e.g. NVQ, British Safety Council, NEBOSH).
