Position Summary: Reporting directly to the CEO, Guardant Health AMEA, the Director will be responsible for leading the enterprise-wide Information Technology function for Guardant Health AMEA. The Director will set the technology vision and strategy for the company aligned with Guardant Health Inc, executing an innovative and efficient approach to better enable the business through technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: He/She will need strong leadership and strategic agility coupled with intellect and depth of Data Infrastructure, Security/Data Protection and Business and Information systems related experience to instill confidence with the business. The Director and his/her team will have responsibility for short and long-term solutions with an emphasis on speed, efficiency, flexibility, and ease of information for enhanced decision making and benefit delivery.

Qualifications


  • At least 15 years of experience serving in IT management leadership roles of increasing scope and responsibility.
  • A bachelor’s degree in technology (computer science/engineering), business administration or a related field is required. An advanced degree is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in Multinational Company
  • Experience as a high impact member of an executive leadership team driving growth and performance of a company.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading a high performance technology organization recruiting, developing, deploying and retaining talent.
  • Technology background that includes experience serving as IT leaders with responsibility for solutions delivery in support of the business. Of critical importance is expertise with Security, Data Infrastructure and Enterprise Systems, Custom application development experience is a plus.
  • Experience enabling a high-growth, data-intensive business to scale aggressively and internationalize.
  • Proven experience serving as a business process transformation leader, particularly in the context of ERP, CRM and the “Customer Experience”, to include integration, portals, technology approach, change management, etc.
  • Experience implementing the tools, processes and structure to run IT like a business with a secure and stable foundation. Increase innovation to enable IT to operate “in front” of the business to help Guardant Health AMEA work better, faster and smarter.
  • Provides strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, acquisition, operation and support of IT systems and programs that fulfill the needs of the business, including security, enterprise architecture, application management, and infrastructure and operations support management.
  • Leverage and transcend the existing IT applications/infrastructure environment to support aggressive growth strategy and evolving needs of the business.
  • Evaluate relevant IT aspects of merger and acquisition opportunities and associated integration strategies.
  • Maintain operational excellence while creating a more efficient, agile and effective operational model that considers and leverages best available resources - both internal and external to the corporation.
  • Develop and control IT operating and capital expenditure budgets to ensure that they are consistent with overall strategic objectives. Recommends capital expenditures for technology improvement to enhance all aspects of customer service, planned growth and technology development within the company.
  • Build a strong professional culture – improve rigor, process discipline, measurement and accountability in order to support a high-growth business.
  • A hands-on leader who possesses intellectual curiosity and the skills to consistently exceed expectations.

Skilled at fostering the long-term growth and development of the team at all levels. Capable of building and growing a diverse talent pool.
  • Experience working Healthcare Industry as preferred.

Establishes clear expectations, sets priorities, focuses resources, delegates effectively, and drives key initiatives to completion. Flexible and responsive to change, willing to be creative and think out-of-the-box, and has exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • A demonstrated commitment to innovation. Proven skills in communicating changes; managing design and implementation; applying innovative thinking; aligning plans, people and processes.
