:THE COMPANYOur client is a US MNC in the Medical Devices industry (P&L size of $900 million) with a strong global presence. They are now looking for a Head of Legal and Compliance, APAC to join their team in Singapore, reporting to the General Counsel, Global.THE ROLEThe Head of Legal and Compliance, APAC will be responsible for:

• Managing or overseeing all legal matters in APAC for all product lines.
• Implementing, enhancing and expanding ethics and compliance program in APAC
• Advising regional leadership, franchise leadership and commercial employees on a broad array of regional contractual, legal and compliance issues relevant to the business including, but not limited to the company\'s Code of Conduct and industry guidance

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee contracting issues with third-party intermediaries in APAC markets.
• Implement and enhance the company\'s contract management systems, including developing/updating templates.
• Review, update, and implement global and regional ethics and compliance policies.
• Manage distributor due diligence and third-party risk to ensure compliance.
• Educate employees on compliance policies and industry codes for medical device manufacturers.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments for APAC.
• Update and execute the compliance monitoring plan for APAC, overseeing employee and third-party activities.
• Enforce standards through company disciplinary guidelines and corrective actions.
• Interact with trade associations and government agencies.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Regulatory, and IT on company-wide initiatives.
• Lead the compliance steering committee for APAC.
• Maintain communication with APAC leadership to advise on compliance for commercial initiatives.
• Work with Medical Affairs, Quality, and Regulatory on product copy clearance and promotion.
• Identify and address compliance issues affecting the company\'s risk profile.
• Manage legal and compliance team members within APAC market

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor\'s Degree (or equivalent) is required, and law degree/qualification (or equivalent) is required.

• The ideal candidate must have between 10 and 15 years of legal and compliance experience, preferably with a medical device, pharmaceutical or related health care company.
• A background in general global and Asia Pacific compliance and legal matters, and experience in addressing anti-corruption issues is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are required.
• Good judgment, the ability to comprehend and analyze complex matters, confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, a high level of diligence and the ability to work well collaboratively, knowing when to escalate matters for collaboration with Department leadership.
