Missions :

The Private Capital department is part of the Asset Fund Services business unit.
This job description is focused on the role of Head of Loan Solutions APAC.
Within the Private Capital department, the main responsibilities of the Head of Loan Solutions APAC are:
  • To act as a key expert on Loan Administration from loan contract understanding to accounting impacts and capacity to share those skills and knowledge with a specialized team
  • To be responsible of the budget follow-up, human resources management, Key Performance indicators and quality follow-up, incident management, risk management
  • To manage transversal issues, internally and externally, within the bank and with external counterparties
  • To represent private Capital Department in client/prospect, external meetings and actively work in collaboration with our Product & Solutions team but also be part of the client journey as SMEs.
  • To be the escalation point of contact for the client in Loan Administration Tasks
Key Responsibilities & Expected result area :

Team Management and Build
  • Be able to develop a robust Loan Administration team by sharing personal knowledge and assist technical expertise challenging topic as a role model
  • Integrate new team members and promote collaboration
  • organise one-to-one team meetings
  • preparing and organising end of year appraisals, ensuring that the notations/comments are fair and explicit
  • manage planning and resources

Production Management
  • Take proactive initiatives to improve productivity and to decrease costs, including setting up capacity planning and challenging the team(s)
  • Monitor incidents and be responsible for closing corrective and preventive measures
  • Manage problems when they occur, take necessary decisions, escalating hot topics when necessary, proposing solutions to your management
  • Ensure data quality level reach expectations
  • Ensure daily task such as reconciliation tasks are performed in timely manner

  • Ensure the optimized usage of the existing Loan Solutions platform and be part of the digitalisation journey. Act as a gatekeeper to ensure efficient usage of technology to keep scalability
  • Develop the scalability of the region by strengthening the Singapore based Loan Administration team but also build a nearshoring team in APAC region
  • set-up a robust governance to follow-up the perimeter under responsibilities
Collaboration and harmonized approach
  • Make sure that team members are following the procedures and completing the checklists properly and on time
  • Participate actively to the review of procedure and checklists
  • Ensure collaboration with other locations Loan Administration team and governance with APAC locations
  • Ensure good relationships / communication within the Private Capital department
  • Ensure good relationships / communication between the Private Capital department and other Departments
  • Be responsible for communication top down and bottom up
  • Be part of marketing campaign and event in the region in collaboration with Client Dev
  • Make sure people under responsibility take part to existing forums and meetings
  • Organise ad hoc communication when needed
  • Regular report for each team
Regional Governance
  • Contribute in the Global Loan Solutions strategy transposed regionally and take into account any local specificities
  • Build & Develop an APAC based IOC
  • Ensure a regional governance and streamlined communication & best practices
  • As regional role, occasional trips in the region will be expected
Be owner of the perimeter under responsibility from a management, cost monitoring, human
resources budget, operation quality and client focus prospective
  • Assess capacity consumption (cost) for new transaction
  • Assess any operation challenges and propose solutions
Provide operational support to the Private Capital team members in case of operational picks

Assist the Head of Private Capital department on complex operational issues and department
organisation

Education and professional experience and Technical competencies

Profile
  • Bachelor degree
  • Relevant experience in the fields of Private Capital and Debt
  • Expertize in debt and especially direct lending type of loans (unitranche, distressed, etc.)
  • Fluent in English, other languages will be considered as an asset
