Job Description


:The Head of Marketing & PA will develop, design and implement the SEA market strategy, through leadership, drive, operational excellence and excellent people skills. They will assimilate insight from consumers, eye care professionals and retail customers and turn those into initiatives and plans that result in accelerated category growth, and stronger working relationships with National and Key Accounts.Responsibilities:Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Researching, developing and implementing the annual country marketing and professional affairs strategy, including working effectively with APAC marketing initiatives and colleagues:
  • Category growth strategy
  • Execution of product launches and rationalizations
  • Execution of product positioning and pricing
  • Demand Forecasting (5 year/ annual/ monthly)
  • Customer marketing strategy
  • Professional Affairs education, training and support plans
  • Patient journey effectiveness and efficiency programs
  • Insight development from both consumer and customers
  • Creation of added value services that increase customer preference for CooperVision
  • Demand-creation initiatives
  • Communication and promotional programs (implementation of APAC activities plus locally developed)
  • Event strategy, planning and execution
  • Working directly with Key Account contacts as part of customer business teams to develop strong relationships and understanding of customers\' businesses, and ultimately drive increased sales through developing and delivering compelling category, patient journey and product initiatives.
  • Creating a strategic plan with the Head of Professional Affairs. Developing and overseeing implementation of Professional Affairs education and category thought leadership programs. This includes driving digital education through webinars, virtual events and Learning Academy. Also includes clinical conferences, customer road shows, seminars and developing clinical content for brand and generic purposes. Influencing optical bodies and managing relationships externally through thought leadership and KOL programs.
  • Serving as a key interface with SEA field sales organization, customer services and other business units to ensure marketing strategies and initiatives are well communicated and that all necessary support is available to ensure optimum execution.
  • Delivering operational excellence in product launches, range rationalization, long range forecasting, budgeting and ROI analysis.
  • Leading, coaching and managing a diverse team to deliver both strong results and a highly engaged team.
Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Leadership: setting clear direction and leading by example.
  • Energizing teams, both direct and more broadly within country business, and driving for results.
  • Driving change and continuous improvement as well as breakthrough challenger mindset-driven thinking.
  • Excellent communications skills (oral and written English).
  • Constraint-based problem solving and resilience.
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking.
  • Displaying deep customer and consumer insight, understanding and focus.
Experience:
  • A minimum of twelve years\' experience in marketing.
  • Sales management or regular direct customer contact.
  • Experience in a business-to-business marketing management role preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare or business to business a plus but not essential.
  • Experience in the optical industry a plus but not essential
  • Experience of leading teams and people in a matrixed organization.
  • Conceiving, constructing and implementing marketing and PA strategies and programs across the full marketing mix as outlined in the job description.
Education:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in science, art, business or any technical/optical or related field. Advanced degree/MBA highly desirable
