The Economist is looking for a dynamic leader to drive its partnerships motion in APAC. This role, in collaboration with the SVP for the region, will set the go forward strategy for the region overall and be independently responsible for driving channel, distribution, strategic and enterprise partnerships. This role will function collaboratively with the global partnerships and group subscriptions team and will report directly to the SVP, Asia Pacific.
The Head of Partnerships will be responsible for identifying, developing and managing partnerships for a Media Publishing business. This role will require a strategic mindset, strong relationship building skills, and a keen understanding of the media industry. The Head of Partnerships will work closely with other departments to create and execute partnership strategies that align with the company\'s goals and objectives.
Accountabilities
How you will contribute:
Identify, develop and manage partnerships with other media outlets, technology platforms, and other relevant organizations
Develop and execute partnership strategies that support the company\'s goals and objectives
Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders
Work closely with other departments to create and implement partnership programs that drive revenue growth, increase engagement, and improve customer experience
Analyze partnership performance metrics and report on progress to senior leadership team
Conduct market research and identify emerging trends and opportunities for new partnerships
Negotiate contracts and agreements with partners and vendors
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies that can support partnership initiatives
Experience, skills and professional attributes
The desirable skills for this role include:
Professional experience in partnership and channel development & management, preferably in the media or related industries
Proven experience in building and leading a team, managing the performance and development of team members at different career levels
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful partnership strategies that drive business results
Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage complex contractual agreements
Proven track record of building and maintaining successful partnerships
Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in the media industry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in marketing, business administration or a related field (Master\xe2\x80\x99s preferred)
