VFlowTech (VFT) is reinventing energy storage with Vanadium redox flow technology, with a vision to develop the cheapest and most scalable Vanadium redox flow batteries in the world. VFT solution is proven to be one of the safest, most durable and environmentally friendly battery technologies.

VFT is a spin-off of the CleanTech lab of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and benefits from unique IP arising from many years of intensive research at NTU. VFT founders and management team have deep experience in the renewable space, and Vanadium redox flow technology.

• Lead the research and development of high-power density vanadium redox flow battery stacks.
• Design, model, simulate, test, and characterize vanadium redox flow battery stacks of varying capacities.
• Conduct comprehensive material and electrochemical characterization using both in-situ and ex-situ techniques (such as cell cycling, CV, EIS, segmented cell analysis, polarization tests, pH tracing, spectroscopy, XRD, resistivity measurements, etc.) to optimize stack resistivity and enhance high current density performance.
• Develop shunt current models for series-connected stacks and devise strategies to mitigate its impact.
• Demonstrate proficiency in experimental, analytical, and computational methodologies.
• Undertake project management responsibilities, including project planning, progress monitoring, resource allocation, and collaboration with interns, research staff, and global partners.
• Contribute to intellectual property development, patent filing, and publication of research findings in esteemed journals.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration within a diverse team; exhibit strong interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Possess a degree in physics, chemistry, engineering, material science, or a related field.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of recent experience in the flow battery industry, showcasing involvement in the development of flow batteries, encompassing expertise in electrochemistry, simulation/modeling, material fabrication, material characterization, and redox stack advancement.
• Exhibit exceptional coordination skills throughout all stages of development, from prototyping and testing to iterative enhancement and final implementation.
• Assume responsibility for meeting development milestones within specified timelines.
• Display adeptness in coordinating communication with all development partners.
• Previous track record of composing successful grant proposals, intellectual property documentation, and high-impact publications.
