In this role that you are about to embark on, you are required to carry out the following responsibilities:This role includes providing legal counsel to the board of directors, chairman of the board, chief executive officer and other senior management and includes responsibility for developing and leading corporate legal strategy to promote and protect the company\'s matters including:-

  • Overseeing delivery of legal services and resources to accomplish corporate goals,
strategies and priorities
  • Maintaining proper corporate interactions with the relevant authorities, external counsels and relevant stakeholders in the community at large
  • Advising the CEO and other senior corporate officers on a variety of issues
  • Participating in the formulation of legal policy & general management policies as a member of the executive management team
  • Managing a team of corporate counsel and other members of the legal department
  • Developing and leading internal corporate compliance programs
  • Lead on a wide variety of complex large scale transactions (eg M&A), with responsibility for progressing key legal workstreams, including:- - being responsible for liaising with key stakeholders (internal & external) and - front-line management of deals, covering drafting and negotiating the key transactional documents, control of due diligence, advising on anti-trust issues, disclosure exercises and closings, managing projects to a budget, and taking responsibility for client satisfaction.
Requirements:To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:
  • A degree or post graduate degree in the related job field.
  • At least 20 years or more working exposure or experience in a similar role.
  • Currently holding a senior position in a respected organization.
  • Willing to relocate to the job location.
