Healthcare Assistant (school East)
Job Description
ROLE
The role of a Healthcare Assistant is to perform basic care functions for students with special needs in the school and maintain cleanliness of the classrooms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform basic care functions for students in the following areas:
Cleaning and bathing the students as necessary.
Assist students in their toileting.
Help in changing students\xe2\x80\x99 clothes and diapers when needed.
Assist students\xe2\x80\x99 movement around within the school compound and transferring them to/from school transport.
Feed students during snack time.
Assist to monitor students so as to maintain a safe and positive learning environment
Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of the classrooms.
Provide feedback on the general repairs and maintenance requirements in the classrooms.
Ad-hoc administrative duty as and when assigned by the superior.
REQUIREMENTS
Caring and kind.
Willing to be hands-on with students with multiple disabilities.
Willing to do personal care tasks (washing, toileting, etc).
Able to follow instructions and procedures.
Some experience in care work or a qualification in healthcare is preferred.
