Housekeeping Supervisor 6 days (Off is not in Weekend) 10am - 6pm or 9am to 5pm Killiney Rd Salary: $2500 - $3000 + meal allowance $120 + VB (at least one month) Remark: Training is provided. Requirement: Experienced in the hospitality industry. : To oversee general operation of the Housekeeping Department with the direction of the Executive Housekeeper. To assist and effectively manage the Housekeeping Department and assist in relying new policies on the regular employees as a communication link. To maintain a strong line of communication between this office and the Executive Housekeeper. To ensure the employees' uniforms are in a constant state of good repair and fit properly. To inform the Executive Housekeeper of any and all problem areas that may occur on down the chain of authority. To assist in passing along this information to the various personnel within the department involved. To ensure that the operations of the department is in accordance with the Executive Housekeeper and higher management wishes. To assist in organizing all sections of this department to work with the highest level of efficiency and interdepartmental co-operation. To operate as a team for the general good of the guest and the apartment is a fundamental organizational effort of this position. To assist in effectively introducing new employees into this hotel type of organization and inform them of Company's policies. To schedule the employees accordingly to the arriving business and ensuring that this business is handled adequately by the amount of staff on hand. To assist the Executive Housekeeper on inventories, receiving of imported orders from Purchasing. To hold regular meeting with Room Steward/ess and House Steward/ess. To revise cleaning schedules every six months for employees. To control and balance on honour-bar operations/laundry operations. To control and take care on the usage of the equipment, chemicals and guest amenities as issued to the department. To maintain and upgrade the apartment interior and exterior landscaping. Has authority to issue parcel pass whenever necessary. To train lower staffs to the required working standard. To instruct Room Steward/ess cleaning windows, vacuuming corridors and cleaning service areas to see that the jobs are done and to see that the proper methods are being employed. To report immediately to Housekeeping Office on receiving report from a maid of guest's illness. To conduct roll calls at the start of each shift. To ensure that the cleaning schedules for the different areas are followed precisely To be aware of trouble spots and areas that need attention and bring these to the attention of the Executive Housekeeper. To instruct all staff under his/her supervision on the careful handling and cleaning of equipment and machinery, handling supplies with emphasis on proper quantities. Has to give instructions on:- i. the care of walls, floors and carpets ii. the use, care and cleanliness of tools and equipment at the end of each shift and iii. the proper use of chemicals and protective coverings. To mark attendance report for Rooms Steward/ess and House Steward/ess and to submit the report to Finance Department. Ability to discipline staff and issue conduct report. To perform any other additional duties order by the Executive Housekeeper /HOD.
