The recently launched HR Builder Experience Team is looking for a strong people leader to manage HR service delivery for the organization which enables our Builders to do what they do best - build! In this role, the manager will partner with AWS HR Line and central teams to deliver best-in-class employee experience services to AWS Builders.

In this role you will:
1/ Develop Team Capabilities - work at an individual and team level to develop deep expertise in core HR processes, provide stretch opportunities to advance the team and provide career development for team members.

2/ Experiment & Deliver Results - evaluate new way to work or new projects to ensure Builders can focus on customers; research industry best practices (process excellence, products and services) that have tangible benefit to AWS Builders.

3/ Operational Excellence - take end-to-end ownership of all aspects of work ensuring service delivery is the best across Experience, Effort and Loyalty metrics. Operate in a way which is focused on building the highest quality experience.

4/ Measure & Inspect - develop clear success metrics and inspect service health to drive cross-functional leadership understanding of business impact.

5/ Innovate & Build: identify opportunities that address AIS business needs, service gaps, process inefficiencies, business needs emerging service requirements and develop value-added services.

This role ideally would be based in Singapore, but flexible with Sydney, Bangalore, China or Tokyo.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR or related field 7+ years of HR or related experience 2+ years management experience
  • Experience implementing processes and delivering core HR solutions in large-scale, complex environments
  • Ability to travel 10%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Successful record of building and improving operational processes and procedures, ability to drive program efficiency and high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated program ownership and consistent delivery on commitments - great organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
  • Accurately assess risk, evaluate the implications in a complex business environment
  • Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings, experience establishing and tracking program metrics including return on investment
  • Experience identifying and resolving issues independently - solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
  • Customer service focus with ability to serve multiple customer types (Builders, Managers, HR)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills - ability to interface with all levels of the organization, specific strength in influencing decision makers as well as setting and managing expectations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree required in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • Experience influencing leaders in a highly matrixed organization
  • Experience managing projects
  • Candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in an HR leadership role with broad knowledge and experience in human resource management
  • Experience partnering with business leaders in highly complex and dynamic business setting is required.
  • Broad experience and specific knowledge of human resource theory, including employee development and performance appraisal systems.
  • Exposure to employment laws
  • Experience assessing management and executive talent
  • Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results.
  • Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking, and analysis.
  • Experience working in a high-tech, entrepreneurial environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is preferred.
  • Work with senior management and the global team to develop and implement HR plans and solutions.
  • Experience assessing management and executive talent.
  • Broad experience and specific knowledge of human resource theory, including employee development and performance appraisal systems.
  • Partner with business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment and development.
  • Provide management coaching to front line managers and senior leaders.
  • Assess business unit's HR training needs and conduct 1:1 and group training sessions as appropriate.
  • Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee experience in order to recommend systemic improvements.
  • Partner with the business to lead both annual and mid-year review processes which focus on performance management and talent development.
  • Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling.
  • Work with line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests.
  • Work with business groups to assess, create and implement innovative solutions for a variety of employee engagement initiatives within the client group.
