Job Description

PURPOSE

The incumbent will be the HR Business Partner and Employee Relations manager, responsible to lead the HR priorities in line with the short- and long-term objectives of the Manufacturing sites in Singapore.

MAIN STAKEHOLDERS

  • Manufacturing Site Heads and their leadership teams and People Managers
  • HR Centres of Expertise (Rewards & Performance, Talent , OD and Analytics and PDLI)
  • Global HRBP, Industrial Affairs in Europe.
  • HR Services team
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The scope of duties and responsibilities include but is not limited to:

- HR BUSINESS PARTNER
  • Being a strategic advisor and thought partner to the sites leadership by proactively anticipating business needs. He / she is expected to lead the HR function by having a strong understanding of the manufacturing environment in Singapore and the contributions of our sites to Sanofi's global strategy. He / she will drive the HR Priorities and Human Capital Strategy, through equipping managers with people management capabilities and enable them on all HR processes, programs and initiatives. He/she will act as a change agent in strategic transformations and change management journeys, coaching and counselling the leadership team while challenging the status quo.
  • Talent Management: Anticipate future workforce needs, partner with people managers to ensure a proper mapping of talents and actions to retain and develop them. Leverage on the country's employer branding to attract new talents, striving for profiles that display strong technical knowledge as well as the skills defined in the company's leadership framework and expected behaviours.
  • Learning and Development: Leverage on the PDLI strategies and offerings, executing the Learning and Development initiatives to enable employees in their professional progression.
  • Performance Management: Drive a high-performance culture, diligently executing performance reviews, striving for clear performance differentiation and high standards.
  • Rewards: Ensure that the rewards strategy is cost effective and aligned to corporate policies and market practices with strong partnership from Reward and Performance COE. Regularly review the compensation and benefits practices to ensure relevance and competitiveness.
  • Employee Engagement: Partner with the leadership teams to drive engagement and build a conducive work environment for positive employee experience.
  • Compliance: Ensures compliance of HR practices and programs in relation to local statutory requirements, corporate policies and compliance with local labour law.
  • Policy shaping and policy definition: Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values. Supports the sites' management teams by providing human resources advice, counsel for consistent and informed decision-making.
- EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
  • Facilitates and partners with Legal and Ethics, Business and Integrity (EBI) team to ensure end to end investigations and provide resolutions of concerns relating to employee complaints, misconduct and performance.
  • Conducts interviews, research and analysis as necessary and ensure overall resolution to employee relations matters. Work with SBS EE Platform to document employee relations issues and all employee relations files (SG IA plant specific).
  • Builds and maintains a positive relationship with Unions, union officials and other government agencies.
  • Drives smooth relations with CA in partnership with the HR Head to mitigate potential legal issues and to ensure compliance with wage and hour issues,
  • Identifies potential labour relations problems, opportunities, issues and evaluates their impact.
  • Advises HR Business Partners, HR Head, and line management regarding interpretation.
EXPEREINCE REQUIRED
  • Strong academic foundation with at least a Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant discipline from a reputable university
  • 4 - 5 Years of HR Business Partnering experience preferably with multinational corporations in the pharmaceutical space.
  • 2 - 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Well-rounded experience in Labour Relations and relevant experience interacting with Unions
  • Well-rounded experience in development, compensation, culture transformation, and change management preferred.
