HR Business Partner, Singapore

Are you an accomplished, enthusiastic HR Business Partner who is looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Do you get energy from implementing HR initiatives, taking ownership of the annual HR wheel, providing sparring and support to managers at all levels? Then you may be eligible for the role as HR Business Partner in NORDEN.

The position is situated at NORDEN\xc2\xb4s office in Singapore located in Suntec City.

The role

You will report to Head of People, Communications & Sustainability in Copenhagen and will have daily collaboration with our Copenhagen based People team consisting of an Operations team, a Development team and three HR Business Partners.

To succeed in the role, you are a self-starter prepared to take part in a global team with the remaining People team members located in Denmark. As the only HR Business Partner located in the Singapore office, you will take ownership and establish your own role supporting NORDEN\xe2\x80\x99s offices in Singapore, Shanghai, Tokyo, Dubai, Melbourne and Vancouver.

The role is broad with involvement in all areas of the employee journey spanning from recruitment to offboarding. You will take ownership of the annual HR wheel and implement new and existing initiatives in the countries you are supporting. Further, you will act as a trusted advisor to our leaders and management, and be the center point in various People activities meanwhile having a close collaboration and coordination with the People team in Copenhagen.

Example of tasks includes but is not limited to:

  • Roll out of annual HR wheel across NORDEN\xe2\x80\x99s offices in Singapore, Shanghai, Tokyo, Dubai, Melbourne and Vancouver
  • Individual leadership sparring and being available for managers in NORDEN\xe2\x80\x99s offices and\xe2\x80\x93 across multiple functions
  • Handling the recruitment process from A-Z
  • Participating in onboarding and exit activities
  • Participation in selected development initiatives
  • Participate in executing engagement surveys and work with leaders on follow-up activities
  • Take part in arranging social activities for the Singapore office
  • Oversee employment related processes with assistance from the HR Operations team in Copenhagen who handle all contracts and legal documents.
  • Responsible for insurance and alignment in employment terms between Copenhagen and the offices you are supporting
  • Handling HR administration and operation tasks within the local legal specifications and NORDEN processes in close coordination with the HR Operations team in Copenhagen
  • Day-to-day support within well-being, job satisfaction, efficiency, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and new ways of working in close coordination with the People department in Copenhagen
  • Close collaboration with payroll colleague in Singapore on salary, work permits, etc.
Competences and core qualifications

You hold a minimum of 3 years of experience from a similar HR role and have a solid HR toolbox including basic HR Operations experience.

You are comfortable handling tasks such as Engagement Surveys, insurance, employee matters, and alignment in employment terms across Asia.

As a person you maneuver well in different organisational departments and styles, interacting with different personalities, cultures and levels, including managerial levels.

Business understanding from working in a shipping company with collaboration across global offices is an advantage in this role.
