Our client is a fast growing global asset management firm (backed by an international and renowned investment firm). For this role, you will be part of the global HR team (based in Singapore). The role focuses on HR Compensation and Analytics functions, but you may be roped in to work on other projects within the HR function (given the lean set up).
Context
Will be part of a team which believes that executive compensation design can, indirectly, enhance the investment returns from the firm’s portfolio companies. The person will manage the compensation plans for the firm and also engages with the firm’s portfolio companies on their executive compensation designs
Several engagements are high-involvement compensation plan designs. Other engagements focus on providing guidance to portfolio companies on executive compensation matters
Also be involved on other HR analytics and reporting work.
Responsibilities
Analyzing compensation practices of relevant industries and markets
Develop incentive plan designs (including annual bonus plan and carry interest program) that tie in with the firm’s investment thesis for a particular assetDeveloping excel-based simulations that provide estimates of costs and consequences of incentive plan designs
Develop presentation slides to senior management that explain, or critique, the rationale behind design proposals
Monitoring trends and developments across industries and markets
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
At least 5 years’ experience in Executive Compensation, gained in a HR consulting firm or in a corporate.
Has end to end compensation design experience. Familiarity with executive compensation practices and best practices in other international MNCs
Added PE/ asset management industry exposure is beneficial (but not a must)
Strong analytical skill with strong excel skills and powerpoint skills.
Has strong written communication and presentation skills
Fast learner who can thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to adapt with a strong awareness of operating environment
Resourceful & takes initiatives
Can work independently, execute and follow through well
Detailed-oriented and passionate about his/ her role
Global living/studying/working experience is useful (but not a must)
