Company Profile: Barker Road Methodist Church Little Lights Preschool (BRMCLL) was formerly known as Barker Road Methodist Church Kindergarten (BRMCK). It was established in 1967 and is an outreach arm of Barker Road Methodist Church (BRMC). Our Kindergarten in Barker Road is the only first faith-based preschool in Singapore with the IB-PYP accreditation.

Our strength lies in low teacher-child ratio and providing quality care and education through promoting bilinguism and teaching the children to be self-disciplined, caring, risk-taking, knowledgeable, open-mined, reflective, well-balanced and God-fearing individuals.

We are looking for a committed individual who can attend to the human resource needs for our two centres, BRMCLL - Barker and our new childcare centre, BRMCLL - Vanda.

:

  • Regular review and enhancing of the organizational structure by evaluating the human resource strategies, policies, programmes and practices in alignment with the business directions and needs.
  • Maintains the organizational structure by regular updating of job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Enhancement of recruitment and staff retention processes by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing programme; counselling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; developing career plan and progression structure for all staff; recommending changes.
  • Ensures legal compliance throughout human resource management by monitoring and implementing applicable Ministry of Manpower (MOM) human resource regulations and ECDA regulations; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing BRMCLLP at hearings.
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Maintains human resource staff job results by counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Assesses training needs to apply and monitor training programmes.
  • Manage daily staff\xe2\x80\x99s attendance and staff leave records.
  • Nurtures a positive working environment.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Undertake any ad-hoc projects assigned by the Management from time to time.
Job Requirements:
  • At least 2 years relevant experience
  • The candidate should hold a minimum of a Diploma or Degree in Human Resources
  • Applicants must provide original copies of their Certificates and academic transcripts for authentication
  • Familiar with MOM regulations, Employment Act and HR practices
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Able to work independently and also a team player
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Good command of English or Mandarin \xe2\x80\x93 verbal and written
  • Attend courses, if required
