Position Summary: In this 18-months contractual role (with possibility of extension and conversion to a perm role for a good performer), you will provide HR Generalist support for the delivery of people initiatives for the firm’s Southeast Asia (SEA) Business Function (BF) teams. In this role, you will be looked upon to build a positive environment and provide sound advice to the BF teams across a broad range of tasks across Recruitment, Onboarding/Onboarding, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Program Management and HR Administrative/Benefits Administration.

There will be a completion bonus of 2 months at the end of the 12 months contract period. There is also the possibility of extension of contract and/or conversion to a perm role for a good performer;

Responsibilities and duties: o Performance Review:
  • Responsible for the annual performance calibration work stream end-to-end, including preparation of the calibration materials for the BF Leadership team and own the compensation planning cycle which includes salary benchmarking and compensation administration after the review cycle
  • Support the probation, performance, and talent management process, which includes the annual performance review and mid-year promotion cycles
  • Support and implement career development plans and apply BDPs from regional offices locally
o Talent Acquisition:
  • Responsible for end-to-end recruitment support across all local BF positions – Agency vendor liaison, LinkedIn sourcing, candidate shortlisting, interview arrangements, documentation, on-boarding, induction
  • Work with hiring managers to determine recruitment needs for local BF roles – Initial resume screen, interview, manage reference and background checks, provide salary recommendations for new hires, considering internal equity & market competitiveness
  • Work with BF teams and Consulting case teams on temporary staffing needs and manage recruitment vendor contracts and relations
  • Engage in medium to long term headcount/capacity planning with functional managers
o Onboarding / Offboarding:
  • Support and work closely with the Onboarding team for the onboarding of all BF employees to ensure effective integration and training
  • Coordinate departure process for all BF employees to ensure smooth transition – Prepare necessary documentation, communicate departure to appropriate stakeholders and perform HRIS entry
o Benefits Program:
  • Support the annual insurance renewals/remarketing exercise with insurance broker
  • Review, assess and execute employee welfare and awards program
  • Respond to employee questions on benefits and resolve claims issues
  • Enter benefits data into HR system on a timely basis and prepare monthly payroll report
o Employee Engagement:
  • Support and suggest levers to create a positive employee experience for BF teams
  • Track karma and upkeep talent dashboards within the local BF professionals to be shared during quarterly People Council meetings
  • Play a critical role in functional program design and development (e.g. BF Annual Summit, Mentor program etc.)
  • Champion of BF causes and best practices
o New Office(s) Set-up:
  • Support the entity setup with the transfer of employees to new offices, liaise with Finance team on licensing documentation, adherence to statutory employment act
  • Participate and support all necessary audit checks by HR regulatory bodies
  • Lead the work authorization processes with guidance from external vendors, review SLAs of vendors on an annual basis or as necessary
o HR Administration:
  • Maintain BF employees’ personnel files to ensure they are kept up to date with all relevant offer letters, contracts, and agreements
  • Maintain all BF employees’ information in HRIS
  • Leave system management for all BF employees
  • Co-ordinate with Finance to ensure smooth payroll delivery
  • Development of best in class HR playbook for repeatable processes
o Other duties:
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned/responsibilities dictate and as the business evolves, including but not limited to backup cover for other team members
Qualifications/requirements:
  • Bachelors’ Degree with minimum 5 years of HR experience in a fast-paced, high-touch and demanding work environment, preferably with some experience working within the Professional Services industry or within SEA (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand & Vietnam)
  • Working knowledge of Workday and TIMES software preferred (but not a must)
  • Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills
  • Strong team player
  • A dedicated attitude with a strong sense of ownership and high sense of self-awareness and empathy
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and degree of autonomy
  • Meticulous and detail-orientated
  • Maturity and ability to navigate through varied employment regulations and challenges
  • Flexibility and willingness to be very hands-on in all aspects of the role
  • Enjoy interacting with employees with a keen passion for creating a positive working environment
  • Ability to deal appropriately with highly confidential information with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer-service mindset
  • Possess good interpersonal skills, confidence, and maturity to interact effectively with all levels
  • Has a strong customer service orientation with excellent people skills and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to commit to a 18 months contract assignment (though there is a chance for extension or conversion to a perm role for a strong performer)
