Identifies training and development needs of employees through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with department heads and HR department.
Develops HR training and development strategies or initiatives with department heads by considering immediate and long-term staff requirements.
Plans, develops and delivers training and development programs including staff inductions/ orientations and safety & health seminars; reviews progress of trainees to ensure accomplishment of organizational goals.
Develops or outsources individual training programs that meet the skills gap identified through TNA; ensures that statutory training requirements are met.
Prepares training materials, arranges logistics, and coordinates delivery of in-house courses.
Considers costs of training initiatives and programs and keeps within budgets; plans and assess the return on investment of training or development programs.
Promotes an open knowledge-sharing environment that builds knowledge, skills and service for the benefit of the organization as a whole.
Evaluates training and development programs; amends and revises programs as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment.
Sets-up and maintains accurate files and ensures security of records; organizes paperwork and correspondence for fast retrieval.
Maintains a neat and orderly working area.
Keeps abreast of policy changes and developments involving new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning. Engages in on-going educational opportunities to update job knowledge.
