Our client is a global aerospace manufacturing company with a growing presence in Asia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading HSE programs and ensuring compliance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s HSE policies standards as well as local HSE regulations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage all HSE programs for the company, assuring compliance with HSE Standards and all applicable local HSE regulations.
  • As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, work with the leaders and employees to foster a safety-first culture and improve workplace safety.
  • As a subject matter expert, proactively support all site activities to identify, assess and mitigate HSE risks.
  • Lead and manage HSE programs for the division. ensuring compliance with corporate HSE policies as well as local HSE regulations.
  • Reinforce HSE as a top priority to achieve zero serious injuries and fatalities.
  • Track HSE performance through KPIs and support HSE work plan.
  • Actively support all relevant site activities to evaluate and mitigate HSE risks.
  • Perform the duties and responsibilities of a Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer in accordance with the WSH Regulations under the WSH Act.
  • Partner with Operations management in setting goals and plans for the reduction of injuries and incidents, to ensure regulatory compliance and to continuously improve the HSE management system.
  • Assist managers in investigating all workplace HSE incidents to determine root cause and assist in identifying and implementing corrective actions that address systemic deficiencies to prevent recurrence.
  • Facilitate HSE Committee and HSE training effectiveness.
  • Manage elements of the Workmen Compensation program, including initial investigation and reporting, claims management and safe return to work.
  • \xe2\x80\x8bManage internal and external reporting and regulatory compliance; collect and report data such as air emissions, hazardous waste, water and energy usage and accident/incident reports; prepare and submit required agency reports and plans; schedule and conduct sampling as required; work with the government agencies as required to prevent/address notice of violations.
Requirements

Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in technical or related field.
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with MOM.
  • At least 5 years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment, with emphasis on workplace safety.
  • Requires understanding of HSE regulations and standards. Experience in identifying and abating critical risks (eg. Machine guarding, electrical safety, LOTO, elevated work etc) is a must.
  • Demonstrated experience in HSE management systems and process improvement.
  • Substantial function experience with proven track record of success in preventing injuries and regulatory non-compliance.
  • Strong leadership and people engagement skills
  • Develop effective working relationships which foster integrity, credibility, trust, and respect.
  • Effectively communicate and share information, knowledge, and expertise with all levels of the organisation
  • Must be able to inspire the team to drive standardisation and risk reduction.
