Job Description

Job Purpose:

To assist HSE Manager to monitor company\'s compliance with health and safety law and providing advice to both companies and employers on the work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

1) Assist the Safety Manager in ensuring that all employees comply with the safety legislation and in-house rules and regulations to achieve an incident free work environment. 2) Ensure safe work practices are carried out in all operations and suspend work where conditions or practices are unsafe. 3) Enforce all WSH legislation and in-house HSE rules and regulations. 4) Assist Safety Manager in investigating accidents or near misses and recommend corrective action to prevent recurrences. 5) Conduct regular safety inspections of the premises (Tuas and Benoi) for the purpose of identifying unsafe work practices and improving working conditions and close the findings observed using tools such as HazREP etc 6) Conduct inspection endorse the permit-to-work for operations. 7) Enforce the implementation of Risk Management in the daily activities in the yard. 8) Check, evaluate and ensure that a relevant Risk Assessment is being used for activities that are carried out in the yard. 9) Should a Risk Assessment be inadequate, he shall advise the respective Foremen/Supervisor to include/amend the Risk Assessment before approval of the work. 10) Monitor the progress and closure of corrective actions taken for non-conformances observed in inspections 11) Controls and supervises fire fighting, rescue and pollution operations 12) Any other assigned duties and responsibilities

Job Requirements:

Qualification : Diploma in HSE or equivalent Experience : Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience Technical Skills : Passed in WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B)
