Responsibilities

The HSSE Officer is responsible for identifying, assessing, and advising on risks arising from the workplace or work processes, recommending measures to eliminate or minimize and control the risks, and implementing the measures. He/She is also responsible for preventing or reducing health and environmental risks, and improving the quality of processes. Key Responsiilities:

• Maintain positive and proactive relations with customers and regulatory agencies.
• Promote Incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors
• Conduct HSE training and orientation to all new employees.
• Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
• Workplace Monitoring through HSE inspections.
• Implementing permit procedure (PTW).
• Incident Investigations for all reported near misses, incidents, and accidents
• Keeping track of HSSE statistics.
• Ensure adequate Internal Purchase request made through Procurement online system.
• Certified WSH Coordinator (Possess a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health from an approved training institute)
• Have relevant experience working in a petro-chemical/ Oil & Gas Industry in HSSE field. Strong site experience in these fields is preferred.
• Inspect and discuss findings on equipment, procedure, site works which may cause harm to workers and advise on remedial actions.
• Able to prepare simple safety reporting, e.g Daily HSSE Observation Charts, HSSE Reporting KPIs etc.
• Familiar with Workplace Safety & Health ACT and Fire Safety ACT
• Able to work individually and in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• May require to commute between warehouses
• 5 days work week
• Work location: Tuas South

Job Type: Full-time Salary: $4,500.00 - $5,500.00 per month Schedule:

• Day shift
