Support the sites in all their Environment, Health, Safety and Security challenges. Implement HSSQE strategy/ initiatives/programmes. Act as a central point of contact between the Management team and the Marine crew.
Deploy appropriate HSSQE management systems, standards, and tools. Monitor HSSQE performance, manage HSSQE auditing/certifications and assurance programmes and track, review and take necessary actions to drive continual HSSQE improvement. Responsible for the supervision of environmental issues.
Ensure that the Integrated Management System supports the delivery of Regulatory Compliance and advice on compliance with relevant applicable Health and Safety Legislation and Regulations.
Best Practices Implementation and Collaboration - Establishes the process for implementing HSSQE best practices with other sites/segments and seek continuous performance improvements.
Involve in strategic planning for HSSQE workplan mapped according to the Key Performance Indicator. Promulgate and organize promotion campaign for HSSQE. Maintain Companys Safety Management System in accordance with ISM, ISPS Codes, ISO 9001 and ISO14001.
Identify knowledge or skills gaps (specific focus on safety, company policies and procedures) and implement supportive corrective actions to meet these needs to help ensure competency levels are attained and maintained.
Create and maintain team spirit among the community, working hand in hand with other regional departments. Challenge breaches in HSSQE standards. Manage and optimize the regional HSSQE organisation to deliver added value to the organisation.
Requirements:
Team player, self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Min Degree in any relevant discipline and/or Diploma in Maritime/Nautical studies with COC Class 2 & above
Possess strong passion in HSSQE. Knowledge of ISM and ISPS standards and qualified as an internal auditor for ISO/ISM.
Investigation training and practical experience.
Occupational health and safety training and practical experience in HSSQE related tasks.
Experience and knowledge in ship vetting, OVMSA regime and marine risk management.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and presentational skills and be able to build relationships with external partners.
Able to work in fast changing environment and prioritise daily tasks on a risk management basis.
Proficient in the use of MS Office Applications (Words, Excel, PowerPoint).
Able to travel at short notice as and when required is a must.
