Designation : HR Manager (Candidates with more than 10 years or relevant experince may be considered for Snr HR Manager position) Role Type : Permanent Role Reporting To: Vice-President (HR) Office Location : Singapore, East Need to Relocate : Yes Overview The HR Manager is expected to work at various levels, from direct liaison with management to the front-end of the business dealing directly with front-line employees. You are expected to understand the nature of the business and workforce requirements so as to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. Experience in a start-up environment is a bonus. The HR Manager will also partner the VP-HR to manage the overall HR function, implementing best practices in HR processes and operations so as to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization. You will be providing both strategic and operational HR support to the business and set HR directions in line with business objectives. The person in this role will have exceptional interpersonal communication skills, a strategic mindset, pay attention to details and employ structured and design thinking in addition to a forward-thinking mindset. Key Responsibilities 1) Manpower Planning, Recruitment & Onboarding Partner various departmental leaders to gather manpower needs, implement workforce and talent resourcing strategies Lead recruitment & selection of candidates, conduct onboarding and orientation of employees Organise and/or partake in recruitment roadshows, conduct walk-in interviews, selection and shortlisting before referring to relevant hiring manager(s) 2) HR-Business Partnering, Employee Relations, Full Employee Life Cycle and Disciplinary Inquiry Provide HR-Business Partnering in the form of HR and local HR legislative requirements advice Provide consultative advice in addressing employee's enquiries pertaining to employment status, HR Policies, Compensation & Benefits (C&B) policies and benefits entitlement Perform full employee lifecycle HR processes including Onboarding, Orientation, Exit Interview etc. Provide an avenue for employees' feedback, follow-up with management and provide counselling where necessary Manage the Disciplinary Inquiry (DI) process providing consultation on the overall DI process and ensuring that all members of the DI panel are familiar on how to perform an effective DI 3) Performance Management System Provide support to develop, implement and manage the organisation's performance management framework and performance appraisal process Partner the VP-HR to lead and manage the entire organisations' performance management system 4) Training & Development Partner the VP-HR to develop and implement Training Needs Analysis (TNA) as well as a Total Company Training Plan (TCTP) Work closely with business and departmental leaders to gather training needs and ensure that such needs are in-line with the organisation's competency framework Liaise with external training providers and internal trainers to ensure relevant training are conducted effectively 5) HR Projects, Administration and Others Partake in relevant HR projects from time-to-time where necessary Provide HR and/or administrative support where needed Requirements and Skills A minimum of 7 years HR management experience (Candidates with more than 10 years of relevant experience may be considered for Senior HR Manager position) Experience in the airlines/aviation industry is preferred Relocation required Minimum diploma level preferably in HRM Payroll handling experience is a bonus Experience in HRMS is an advantage Start-up operations experience is a bonus Strong proficiency in office productivity software tools (e.g. MS Office Suite) Experience in managing and liaising with internal & external stakeholders Self-starter, resourcefulness and ability to think out-of-the-box. Ability to work with a multi-national and multi-locational team Ability to work under pressure and provide guidance to team members Excellent leadership, people management. Interpersonal communication, relationship building and negotiation skills Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving Strong time management skills and ability to judge urgency and project deadlines
