Pathlight School is the first autism-focused school in Singapore to offer a unique blend of mainstream national curriculum and life readiness skills. We are currently the largest special education school in Singapore and due to our further expansion, we invite candidates who have proven commitment and competence to join us in the role of Human Resources Intern.
Pathlight School is run by the not-for-profit charity Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) or ARC(S) based in Singapore. ARC(S) is dedicated to serving children and adults on the autism spectrum, to help these individuals lead meaningful and independent lives in society. ARC (S) offers a wide range of services: Pathlight School, and two social enterprises, The Art Faculty and Professor Brawn.
The Team:
The Human Resources Team strives to build an engaged staff force, reinforce the desired culture and be an employer of choice. Fundamentally, the team acts as a catalyst to enable all staff to contribute at optimal levels towards the success of the organisation.
Your Impact and Contribution:
You will collaborate closely with the HR team and will gain be exposed to the different functions of HR ranging from Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Payroll and Employee Engagement projects. You will also hone your stakeholder management skills and foundational knowledge of HR.

  • Talent Acquisition
  • Co-ordinate and drive hiring, onboarding and offboarding activities for interns
  • Exposure to employee engagement sessions
  • Compensation and Benefits
  • Supports activities for monthly payroll movements
  • Manages payment cycle for outsourced vendors in a timely manner
  • Support key HR initiatives and events
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
You should possess:
  • Diploma and above, prior experience will be beneficial but not required
  • Internship Duration: minimally 3 months (Internship Period is flexible)
  • A strong willingness to learn and grow your skills & knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • A pro-active approach to problem-solving
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging work environment
  • Desire to learn about Autism and the passion to serve the autism community and their families
