We are looking for a Husbandry Agent to join our company.

In Wilhelmsen Port Services, we provide our customers with piece of mind while we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. We match local expertise with strict global standards, making sure we consistently make our customers\xe2\x80\x99 port calls as efficient and safe as possible.

The Husbandry Agent will report to Husbandry Team Lead.

Who you are:
You will coordinate and service the performance of Husbandry port calls entering the Area (Singapore, South East Asia and Oceania).

Required experience and skills:

• 
  Diploma in Maritime Studies, Logistics or Supply Chain Management or similar discipline.
• 
  Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience from the marine industry, preferably ships agency operations.
• 
  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• 
  Able to work independently and systematically.
• 
  Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities.

What you will be doing:

• 
  Coordinate port calls for assigned customer accounts effectively, including proper monitoring of the vessel and attendance to any follow-up enquiries.
• 
  Ensure compliance with Ships Agency Standard Operating Procedures, including correct use of the operating systems.
• 
  For global port calls, monitor the execution of the port call and work closely with Operations to ensure that we meet customers\xe2\x80\x99 expectations.
• 
  Ensure correct amount of pre-funding are received or the correct level of authority has approved any deviation, prior to performing the Port Call.
• 
  For port calls entering Singapore, advise on selection of contractors for goods and services provided to principals, including submission of competitive quotations, as required.
• 
  Monitor and record expenses that arise during vessels\xe2\x80\x99 port call
• 
  Ensure Cash-in-Transit as per company procedure.
• 
  Proactively follow up, check and approve supplier\xe2\x80\x99s invoices
• 
  Suggest process improvements based on efficiency, productivity or cost effectiveness gains.
• 
  DA handling including correct data input, monitoring, and verification.
