About the Roles

We are looking for a Hydraulic Service Engineer to join a reputable manufacturer and repairer of pumps based in Pioneer. This is a

permanent position

with a

5.5-day work week

(Monday to Friday, 8AM-5PM; Saturday, 8AM-12PM). The role offers a

. You will be part of a dynamic team, supporting marine operations with hands-on hydraulic service expertise.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead and guide a team in servicing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic cranes, winches, davits, and other marine hydraulic systems. Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety of onboard equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic issues using schematic drawings, carrying out repairs to restore systems. Overhaul components such as pumps, motors, cylinders, and flow pressure or directional control units. Install hydraulic hoses and fittings on vessels when required. Ensure all work meets strict safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Carry out service work onboard vessels, at shipyards, or at anchorage locations. Support additional related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in marine hydraulic servicing, including cranes, winches, davits, hatch covers, or steering gear systems. Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, and related parts. Proficient in reading and interpreting hydraulic schematic drawings. Skilled in performing independent fault-finding and repair onboard ships. Prior experience with hydraulic service providers, equipment manufacturers, or OEMs is an advantage. Willing to travel for overseas assignments, attend to tasks at anchorage, and work on weekends when required. Comfortable working in marine environments and onboard vessels.
