We are looking for an IT Specialist to join our IT team based here in Neste Asia Pacific.

We have a dedicated team of experts working in the Production, Asset management & Engineering IT domain. Our team is responsible for driving development and maintenance of the solutions in this area. We also contribute to the digitalisation of the services we run.

In the IT specialist role you will

Act as a specialist of IT technologies / systems.

Implement defined ICT work methods systematically, and proactively take part in the process development.

Proactively support the users to enable efficient use of the systems. (usability)

Active lead, manage and cooperate with relevant vendors.

Manage the vendor co-operation and ensure relevant KPIs are met

Lead Information security - extensive familiarity with information security practices and procedures to protect organisation data from intrusion or corruption

Lead and coordinate problem - troubleshoot networks, computers, and devices.

Work tightly with other Neste functions (Admin, HR etc), IT infrastructure and application teams, such as architects, infra team, google team

Ensure wise use of budget and delivery resources based on business priorities

This role requires familiarity with IT processes and procedures, effective communication, departmental enhancement, and user support. IT specialists balance enterprise-wide support and enhancement with direct assistance for IT departments and users. Our work combines accountability, cooperation, and the desire to develop and renew. Working safely at all times is essential to all of us.

You will be part of our global IT and reporting directly to the Regional IT manager based in Singapore.

Keys to success in this role

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is

Previous experience of working as an IT specialist in energy, chemical or pharmaceutical industries.

University level degree in IT or similar relevant education

Experience of leading / managing enhancement and projects

Proficient Communication skills - effective written and verbal communication skills are vital in this role, since IT specialists work directly with users and IT department personnel

Excel in time management - easily moves between duties and responsibilities to effectively prioritise and manage own schedules

Strong knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile development (Scrum, scaled Agile models like SAFe)

Experience in leading IT operational activities and knowledge of ITIL framework

Ability to communicate clearly in English
