Mondays to Fridays: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, inclusive of 45 minutes lunch break
Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted Public Holidays.
Scope of Services:
The ICT Trainer must work closely with the HOD ICT, SH ICT, and ICT Support Team. He must also support the school’s enrichment and training programs for staff and students
1) Student Training
The ICT Trainer will conduct computer courses for P1 to P6 students over 30 weeks during curriculum time and some selected courses outside curriculum hours and during school holidays (if necessary). The computer courses will cover the ICT skills on ChromeOS, Windows, MacOS, and iOS platforms and other areas include:
Miscrosoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
Apple Productivity Tools
Google Workspace
Cyber wellness
Coding using Scratch
Educational Web Tools (e.g. Google Workspace etc.)
Adobe Photoshop, In-Design, Illustrator anad etc.
Student Learning Space (SLS)
Microbit
Touchtyping
2) Staff training
The ICT Trainer will conduct training courses and workshops for staff (including administrative staff) in teaching and learning and harnessing technology for efficient administrative and operational performances:
To assist teachers in content creation and lesson design including providing instructions and guidance on usage of functional features in school applications
To propose ICT tools for teaching and learning for staff
To conduct workshops for staff on the functionality or usage of school applications
3) School Website Maintenance
The ICT Trainer must be familiar with CMS platforms (e.g. Joomla, WordPress, Swiiit) and has knowledge of Web programming in HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL:
To add, edit, and remove web content on the school’s website
4) AV Management
The ICT Trainer must be proficient in videography and video editing techniques and has knowledge if Adobe Premier Pro, iMOvie, Final Cut Pro for video editing purposes:
- To provide AV support during school events - taking photos or video- recording, editing for school functions/events and archiving these resources
5) Other Areas
The ICT Trainer will embark on any other work assigned by the HOD ICT and SH ICT in pursuance of the overall ICT Action Plan of the school:
To provide consultation and technical assistance to staff in ICT-related activities e.g. teachers conducting ICT-based lessons and training sessions
To assist in the setting up of laptops, iPads and/or other devices for teachers conducting lessons requiring such equipment
To support the ICT Committee in data administration and monitoring of ICT-related activities in the school
To assist in the maintenance and support of school networks infrastructure (wired and wireless) and network printers for SSOE Windows devices
To diagnose Chrome/Windows/Mac devices (iPAds) hardware failures including all peripherals
To manage user administration and provide support of the school portals e.g. Google Workspace
The ICT Trainer is required to comply with the School’s Expectations of Instructors. Failure to adhere to the expectations may result in contract termination:
Qualification, Skill & Experience:
Possess minimally a diploma qualification in ICT (or related fields e.g. Computing, Digital Multimedia)
Have good ICT knowledge, skills and experience in
Microsoft Office
Google Workspace
Apple Productivity Tool
ICT Web tools for teaching and learning
Troubleshooting of IT devices (iOS, ChromeOS, Windows)
