Job Description

Closing Date : 7 Nov (12noon)

Contract Period: From 1 Jan 2023 to 31 Dec 2023.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

Working hours per week: 42 hours

• Mondays to Thursdays: 8 am to 5 pm (including 30 minutes lunch)
• Fridays: 8 am to 4.30 pm (including 30 minutes lunch)
• Service usually not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

The personnel shall be competent to perform the following duties and responsibilities:

ICT Trainer

• To conduct structured computing programmes on coding (using Swift playgrounds, Scratch, Micro:bit and Makecode Arcade), App development (using Thunkable and GameSalad), 3D printing (using Tinkercad and Sketchup) and graphics (using Inkscape)
• To conduct structured computing programmes on "Learning with iPad" as part of 1:1 Personalised Learning Device Programme
• To conduct structured computing programmes on Microsoft 365
• To conduct structured computing programmes on Google G-Suite for Education
• To co-teach lower secondary Project Work in coding using Design Thinking framework
• To maintain IT tools and software used for IT programmes, workshops and Project Work
• To conduct or organise creative maker workshops and maintain the makerspace@library where these workshops are conducted
• To assist in providing IT training workshops to teachers in using technology for teaching and learning
• To edit videos (using Final Cut Pro)

*A makerspace is a collaborative work space inside a schoollibrary for making, learning, exploring and sharing that uses high tech to no tech tools.

Public Address (PA)

• To assist PA CCA teachers-in-charge in the conduct of student training and support all school events and functions.
• To assist Operation Manager (OM) in the maintenance of school PA system.
• To setup and host live events (using OBS)

Other duties:

• To assist HOD/ICT, Subject Head/ICT and ICT Manager in the daily ICT routines, operations and other tasks assigned where required.
• To assist Principal/Vice-Principals in other tasks assigned

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications,skills and experience:

1.Qualification

• ITE /Diploma holder in IT-related discipline. Salary ranges from $2,000 to $2,500 per month depending on qualification and relevant working experience.

2. Digital literacy knowledge and skills in:

• Apps development (Thunkable and GameSalad)
• 3D Printing (Tinkercad and Sketchup)
• Programming (Scratch, Micro:bit, Makecode Arcade and Swift playgrounds)
• Productivity tools (MS 365, Google G-Suite ecosystem)
• Creative tools (video and photo editing)
• Collaborative learning tools (padlet, classkick)
• Apple hardware and application ecosystem
• Has knowledge and skills in operating PA systems e.g. Audio/Visual systems and Lightings systems to support events
• Broadcasting tools (OBS)

3. Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in designing and conducting coding and makerspace programme workshops.
• At least 2 years of experience in training students to operate PA systems to support events.
