Description

Our client is a reputable insurance firm in the market. They are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable IFRS 17 Actuary to lead the implementation efforts and compliance with the new accounting standard for insurance contracts. As the IFRS 17 Actuary, you will be responsible for interpreting and applying the complex requirements of the standard to the insurance products and financial reporting processes. Your expertise in actuarial science, financial modeling, and regulatory compliance will be critical in ensuring a smooth transition to IFRS 17 and maintaining ongoing compliance.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, IT, and underwriting, to assess the impact of IFRS 17 on the financial statements, systems, and business operations. You will play a key role in designing and implementing actuarial models, methodologies, and systems to accurately measure insurance contract liabilities and recognize revenue in accordance with the standard\xe2\x80\x99s principles.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of actuarial principles, financial reporting, and IFRS 17 requirements. You should be highly proficient in actuarial software, financial modeling, and data analysis. Additionally, your strong project management skills will enable you to lead and coordinate the IFRS 17 implementation project effectively.
