Our client is a fast growing insurance firm in the market. They are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong valuation actuarial background to be a part of their Actuary team. As a Valuation Actuary, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and interpreting financial data to assess the financial health and liabilities of the company. Your expertise in actuarial methodologies, statistical analysis, and regulatory compliance will be vital as you perform actuarial valuations, reserve calculations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

In this critical role, you will collaborate closely with various departments, including finance, risk management, and underwriting, to ensure accurate and comprehensive valuations of the insurance portfolios. Your advanced knowledge of actuarial principles and valuation techniques will enable you to evaluate the adequacy of reserves, model potential risks, and provide valuable insights for strategic decision-making.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be adept at working with complex financial models and actuarial software to conduct scenario analyses, stress testing, and sensitivity testing. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory guidelines, including but not limited to GAAP, IFRS, and Solvency II.
