About the job
IKEA for Business is the B2B arm of IKEA Retail, offering our unique range and concept to professional customers within office furnishing, residential developments, kindergartens/schools, hotels, and other market segments.
In your role as IKEA for Business Sales Manager - Singapore, Ikano Retail, you will organize, initiate, and lead all IKEA for Business sales activities within assigned customer segments, to ensure that the company optimizes its business opportunities in the market.
You will also ensure that IB operates to the highest professional and ethical standards in all meetings with the customers, to uphold and strengthen IKEA\xe2\x80\x99s reputation as a leading, trustworthy, and service oriented brand. Your assignment

  • As Leader of Sales, you are to responsible for developing and implementing the Sales Strategy for IKEA for Business in Singapore. This is to be done in cooperation with the IKEA for Business manager.
  • Be responsible for follow-up and follow-through on all customer leads generated through any of the customer touchpoints, to ensure that customers experience that they are \xe2\x80\x98attended to\xe2\x80\x99 in a timely and professional manner, and that sales opportunities thereby are optimized.
  • Proactively identify and contact potential clients, and lead negotiations with these.
  • In cooperation with the IKEA Retail management in Singapore, oversee and support the operation of the IB sales counters in assigned stores, through leading and motivating the front co-workers, and through the good example install a positive mindset of responsibility, customer care, and service.
  • In cooperation with the Fulfilment function, oversee the execution of larger orders, and manage the communication and follow-up with the customers.
  • Ensure that the company\xe2\x80\x99s competitive advantage within Sustainability is incorporated into the general sales presentation, in support of the overall image of IKEA for Business.


Qualifications
Your profile
  • Good conceptual and practical understanding of IKEA\xe2\x80\x99s identity and range, with strong ability to communicate the IKEA concept to external contacts.
  • Service oriented with experience in sales to professional customers, and with proven track record, preferably within interior furnishings or related industries.
  • Good commercial understanding of offline as well as online marketing/sales, as well as dynamics and opportunities within multi-channels sales.
  • Strong negotiations and commercial skills, with experience in corporate sales and in meeting larger customers/organizations at senior management levels.
  • Understanding and commitment to company Culture and Values, with strong ability to convey these directly and indirectly through own way of being.
  • Alignment with IKEA\xe2\x80\x99s Sustainability strategy and knowledge of how to communicate principles.
  • Fluent in English. Other Asian language is an added advantage.
  • Positive personality. Fair, honest and trustworthy with excellent interpersonal skills, strong commercially creative sense and a good sense of humour.
  • Self-reliant with proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Enthusiastic, with strong desire to be part of a positive and challenging environment.
  • Supportive to others, keen to share knowledge and learning with others in the organization, and to go the extra mile as part of an ambitious team.
