About the job

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you used your technical expertise to support the Facilities Department to upkeep and repair tasks at the interior and exterior of IKEA Tampines building.

Your assignment

• Attend to requests related to mechanical and HVAC systems in the building (eg: fire protection system, sprinkler, air compressor , Chiller checking , AHU checking etc.)
• Perform investigation and rectification works and update the Supervisor/ Technical Officers.
• Perform and ensure all preventive maintenance works are carried out according to the maintenance programs and procedures.
• Carry out any ad-hoc maintenance or repair work as assigned.
• Ensure safety first when carrying out maintenance works.
• Update Team leader and Manager on the status of the request.
• Undertake other duties as per assigned
• Identify and report the needs for repairs or breakdown issues

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC in Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent
• Minimum 3 to 5 years in facility/building maintenance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hardworking and able to multi-task
• Has a good safety mindset and displays good WSH behaviour
• A team player with good attention to details
• You have the ability to work in a fast pace environment
• Able to commit working on AM & PM shift, including weekends and public holidays
