The opportunity

• Opportunity to work in renown American MNC within the industry automation industry
• Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm

Objective of position

• Supports the introduction of new products (NPI) to the manufacturing facility in accordance with the Common Product Development (CPD) processes.
• Works with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure optimum product and process design for manufacturability.
• Develops and implements manufacturing layout and processes and associated documentation, estimates manufacturing cost, and coordinates execution of prototype and pilot activities.

• Collaborate with design team to transition PCBA from development to manufacturing and works very closely to the team in defining design for assembly guidelines.
• Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) analyses.
• Track product manufacturing cost throughout the NPI project.
• Lead Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
• Create Documented Work Instructions (DWI).
• Coordinate prototype and pilot build and evaluation activities.
• Evaluates new printed circuit board designs for manufacturability
• Create manufacturing deliverables for printed circuit board assembly prototypes and pilots
• Able to resolve issues using analytical method to improve manufacturing yield and efficiency
• Assists in programming SMT equipment to ensure efficient processing of prototypes

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree or education.
• Demonstrated understanding of New Product Introduction process, Printed Circuit Board Assembly design and manufacutring environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Project Management, Design For Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA), and Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
