Job Responsibilities

• Monitor operations to ensure that employees comply with company safety and operating rules, policies, procedures, union agreements and governmental regulations.
• Promote a safe work environment through the development of safety programs, goals and measurements.
• Must be able to immediately respond to safety and quality concerns as they arise.
• Build a positive relationship with employees, customers and public entities based on mutual respect and strong business ethics.
• Direct and coordinate activities in the operations department and allocate the proper resources to meet operational demands and ensure ontime performance.
• Work with Superintendent to Plan, Manage and record the works to ensure progress, quality and safety requirements are met or exceeded
• Define and monitor key performance metrics and processes to improve efficiency and meet project and corporate goals.
• Identify and correct service issues to ensure service reliability and provide continuous improvement to meet customer demands.
• Effectively utilize performance management and interpersonal skills to coach, train and provide feedback to maximize employee potential.
• Collaborate with other departments to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
• Check work quality against specification and complete Inspection and Test Records and plans
• Ensure Client confirms quality reached and signs records
• Undertake surveys of existing 3rd Rail and components and accurately identify, record and report
• Check proposed design of new installation on site and confirm deliverable and or record discrepancies and report

• Min. 5 years of railroad transportation experience, including three or more years of management of workers.
• Detailed working knowledge of all applicable SMRT/ LTA rules and regulations.
• Experience working under a time limited environment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as analytical skills for reviewing progress and preparing reports.
• Time management, organizational and effective planning skills to achieve work deadlines.
• Ability to work outdoors and in a fast paced night operational environment
• Experience in installing 3rd Rail conductor rail and components as a supervisor
• Ability to operate computer software \xe2\x80\x93 excel, word,
• Ability to problem solve
